Awesome thanks. I found it and added to my wish list. How did you mount to the underside of the seat?

Edit: link https://a.co/d/3eVAZgM
I bolted the hinge to some scrap 1.5” flat steel I had laying around then mounted that to the steel frame of the seat. You can unzip the bottom of the seat to see your options.

Met up with another JT owner to get this SuperTop. Needed some extra space for vacation this year (only taking one vehicle this time) but will be nice having the extra covered space through the winter.

🍻 Cheers, Dave, if you’re on here. Appreciate the help getting it installed, rain and all! 🤣

Does this count?
Very happy to be rid of the monstrosity. I've had cell phones smaller than that fob.
Took me a minute to figure out that the unlock button is actually under the open hasp rather than under the lock body like the lock button is. I thought it wasn't working! I haven't tested the horn button because I don't want to freak out the dog.

Who makes that? The design isn’t my thing, but I love the size.

MyThreedom.com

They have a few different styles of fob, and quite a few color options.

Oh. Yeah. I was afraid of that. They’re not my favorite.

Thanks! Is that for when you need to take rig to dealer and deal with the Tazer stuff?
You can just unmarry a Tazer. Dealerships don't care about them anyway unless maybe you have a BCM issue. Tazers don't touch the PCM, as far as I know.

They do care about engine tuning when it comes to warranty claims.

Oh right on, thanks. Was curious as to why you guys were copying your PCM’s.

Really common practice with the diesels but there's no reason you couldn't clone a gasser PCM to keep as a backup or to tune as well. At the moment spare PCMs are surprisingly affordable and one day they'll be gone. I'm considering getting a third (I've got two different tuned units at the moment.) I've got an old TJ as well and I've watched those OEM part supplies dry up over the years, including the PCMs.

Not today but this past weekend re mounted the awning.

When I first mounted my 270 Deg awning I had to mount it further inboard on the new bedrock that desired as the button head bolts attaching the crossbars prevented me from using the supplied mount to move the awning to the outside of the top which will interfere with opening my soft top and the awning was hanging further off the back than desired.

I ordered 2 pieces of 12x3x1 inch 6061 extruded aluminum bar stock off Amazon to fab up some risers. I cut one in half, measured and drilled out the blocks and re-mounted the awning. This allowed me to move the awning out past the top so it won't interfere with the soft top when open and move it forward. This will also allow me to center the RTT that's being delivered Saturday and open it without interfering with the awning. It sits slightly lower than originally mounted but I still have plenty of head room when its deployed.

I don't know why no one wants to release a 5ft, or even 6 foot awning. Almost every "overlanding" truck is a midsized with a 5ft bed.

There used to be a South African company that offered a 5ft 270 awning but it's no longer listed on their site, and I think OVS has/had a 6ft but there was something about it that I didn't like.
