Gotcha. I wont have enough to fill my fenders when all the ones from Moab come in, but I also dont want to mount them to the body yet. Maybe down the road. Maybe not.

Yeah I am sorta the same way
I like the outside clean and not cluttered. Ya know how hard it would be to clean around all those badges and with my OCD I would go crazy trying to do it.

What I do is save the best out of my previous set and have it mounted . My spare is always a used tire. But not a terrible tire. Go to Ebay or Facebook market place pick up a used tire in the correct size and have it m9unted save a ton of money .
Reason I do this is ,I rarely buy the same tires twice so if I bought a set of 5 wore out the other 4 ( cause I dont believe in 5 tire rotations ) then when I get new tires I got a mis matched one anyway that cost big bucks . Buy a used or keep best out of previous set and Im good to go.

I ordered a Milestar Patagonia MT-02 from Wally World. It’s Walmart so there’s always a wait. I intend on running those anyway so figured I’d get a jump on it. I do 5 tire rotations, or at least will start doing them again in 10k or so when the BFG A/Ts that came with it wear out.
I always believe in having a solid spare. If I have to use it on the trail it better be up to the task of getting me home.

The reaon I dont do 5 tire rotations is becUse in 5000 -6000 miles which I average 2700 a month the spare is much newer than the rest not as wore down . I believe in all of them being wore equally . 5 tire rotarion does nothing for me besides waste money. In 5000-6000 miles I have went over rocks spun tired repeatedly, ran a lot of hard top and etc etc.. it also looks so dumb with that spare so much newer . So I get an old one to start out with . By the time I get to the point of having a tore go flat they are usually all wore down . But to each their own .

Yesterday I painted my rear inner fender liners, along with the Artec engine skid brackets. Did an oil change. Mounted up Core4x4 front upper and lower control arms, pushed the axle forward 1/2", and dialed in another degree of caster for a solid 6°. This morning I got the inner fenders mounted up.

Today I'm hoping to get the rear arms installed along with the upper triangulation kit, diff covers, brake lines, chromolys front and rear, and engine and fuel filter skid plates. We'll see how far I get. Got a shakedown trip planned in about a week and I'm busy until then so trying to get this shit knocked out fast-like.

Pretty surprising how massive that thing is. I removed all the plumbing as well. Between that and the lightened exhaust it's amazing how much cleaner the bottom of the rig is.

I haven't looked in awhile, but all the triangulated 4 link rears say they don't fit the diesel. Is ditching the def tank all that is needed? Well, besides the obvious stuff needed to ditch def tank.

Let's just say I'd like the tri-4 link eventually. If I have to go on a weight lose program to make it work, all the better.

As far as I know, yes. I don't know that I've seen anybody do it but there's nothing else I can see to prevent it. With the def tank removed or relocated, the gas diesel tank skid ends in line with the rear upper arm mount on the frame side. The def tank itself extends almost all the way to the axle. It's a big biotch
