Awesome!! I just watched that video. I’m looking for a half bed that I can bolt a Vevor truck box to lengthwise. Less stuff I have to tie down in the bed but still have access to it. Maybe install a Jerry can holder to the back end for a couple extra gallons. Just something about putting rotopax outside the vehicle in SoCal gives me a bad feeling.

I should be able to throw it in later today to see how it fits. I wanted some floor space left over which is why I went with the half width.

The rotopax thing would worry me too!

I only put the Rotopax on when I’m going to use it. And then I only fill it on the last fuel stop. Then I dump it in the tank as soon as it will fit. I don’t want 3 gallons of fuel hanging on the truck any longer than necessary.
I see people mall crawling with their Rotopax hanging on the side of their truck 24 - 7 (empty I assume).
I’m not going to sacrifice my Rotopax to UV rays every couple years at $60 or $70 each.

Barely fits, but it fits! 23 and change inches to spare remaining in the bed on the passenger side.

That pretty much exactly how I want to set mine up as well. Slide for more frequently used things and the non slide side for tent, sleeping gear, and dry pack food or something. It’s a Jeep. Theres always something to put somewhere.

Gladiator is a game changer from my LJ though. So much more room!!!!! And I don’t have to worry about gear bashing me in the head during a hard stop anymore either!!!

Got a few things done today I was putting off, the new front bumper pushed me to get them done. Relocated the Mojave reservoirs and at the same time deleted the aux battery the proper way. Then I was able to cut off the ugly frame horns under the bumper, finally installed a $120 eBay “trail rail” system. My thoughts on this are as follows. The rails are good quality aluminum with a nice finish on them, all the hardware worked fine. But the cleats are junk, do yourself a favor and get some oem Tacoma cleats. I had 4 from my previous truck, they work much better.

Removed the bed on my day off. I'll be working on installing the motobilt bed that just came back from powdercoat in my free time.

I feel better having at least some protection for the engine oil pan and those transmission cooler lines.
