Just to add to what the others suggested...WD40 or similar will work also to get the water out.Yeah I'm pretty sure the FAD connector is getting water in it since I've had it disconnected a few times recently.
WD40 is a Water Displacement not really a lubricant. Electric contact cleaner would work also. Then the dielectric grease to keep any future water out.
