If by flipping the drag link you mean what I think you mean, which is moving it to the top of the knuckle, you've created a difference in length between the drag link and track bar and as they travel vertically the wheel has to turn. It's definition bump steer. Hit a bump and the wheel jerks.

Drag link and track bar need to retain parallel, within reason. Length plays in as well. You can draw it out with arcs around a point.
Okay I have no idea what I am about to say but does anyone make a draglink with an exaggerated curve 🤔

How many of you knew you could lock the doors while the Jeep is running with the key fob in your hand?? Just press the proximity button on door handle to lock it. I never knew that. I know I could never do that in my 4 Runners and my friend can't in her Subaru.

So the FOB or the prox locks, you mention both. I can definitely lock mine with the FOB while running. Prox would make sense as well, have driven other vehicles that can do it.

Yes you can do it. Just not with the fob in the vehicle. Otherwise, you can lock them with any method with it running.

Not sure why those don't - Jeeps have for as long as I remember.
It detects the fob outside of the vehicle and allows locking via any method.

How many of you know that the Jeep app allows you to lock and remote start and unlock with the FOB still in the Jeep.??

Well with the 4 Runner it would turn off after you open the door when you remote start the vehicle. Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Why would you want the engine to shut down if you open the door after a remote start? Seems sort of silly, even counter-intuitive!
That would mean two starts each time - remote start, open door engine dies, start it again, drive away.
And people call Jeep's method silly......

They might but in terms of basic physics in this case all that matters is the end point on each end. Straight drag links are pretty standard, as they're cheaper to produce and the strongest. The tie rod ends usually have a bend to them. I'd bet the ones I have curve off line the most as is. Added curve requires added strength.

This all goes back to me grinding the nut to make the clearance. Any other solution outside of throwing out the whole system and starting over would be a compromise. You want these lines as close as possible. So the way I have it now is really kind of ideal, imo.

Antirock. Hard parts were easy, easy parts were hard. Didn't finish, broke for the wife's bday. Still need to set links and trim the Savvy liners.

See comments below - had to move the reservoirs inward to mount the snow plow frame brackets.
Skid plate won't fit as long as the plow brackets are on. Need to find a way to cut down a spare skid plate.

Plow mounting bar goes between these two frame brackets. Will protect the reservoirs from the front, but not from the bottom.

Ended up not having to relocate the reservoirs - was able to leave them in place, remove the hose clips and the wire hose guides and sort of re-routed the hoses. Still need to strap those in place to prevent wear and chaffing.
BUT - you can see the side effect of moving the hoses - slid the reservoirs in to the center a bit more and the skid plate won't fit with the snow plow brackets.
Have to find a way to cut down a spare skid plate I have for winter use. Don't want these left exposed. The bar that goes between the brackets will protect them from the front, but not from below.

Are you routing the winch cables to the inside of the frame rails or to the outside?

I have deleted the aux battery with fuse and neg connection. Yesterday I installed the Odyssey Performance battery 7H, the big one. Now they are a black plastic top. Weighs 55 pounds. factory is 50 pounds. Should be done with batteries for a few years. $377 at auto zone.
This disappointing message is aimed at the Battery OEM’s out there…That is just a completely ridiculous price for a battery…let’s see, there still made out the same lead and soaking in the same acid as they were a F’n 100 years ago! At least if you’re going to continue down this path of rabid greed, try to manufacture something that will out live the same product that was built 20 years ago.
