Finally got around to installing the Sherpa Sunilight rack a solar panel and Starlink. I still have to wire them in. A couple tweaks from the manufacturer would make the install way easier, but overall I’m happy with the rack’s functionality.

. I live in Texas, where it's hotter than the door knob to Hell.
Nah, it ain't that hot. When it is hot is when it's 90°F and 100% humidity.
It is probably the easiest thing to do on these trucks..

Now granted, I am a total newbie to the Gladiator platform, having mine for about 3 weeks... I know there is a posted pic of an airbag poking out a "mail slot" type hole on the dash panel, but with the advent of A.I., I very rarely take a photo as proof anymore...

But looking at the dash of my 2023, it appears to me that the airbag comes out of the little panel beneath the dash panel. It's clearly marked AIRBAG and if you lightly push on it, it does flex. I may be wrong, but I thought it was federal law that the actual airbag location had to be marked, not marked in the general area (comes out from the painted panel 4" above the marking) for safety reasons.

If they changed the location over the years then Distiction Applied would have to have varying years for replacement panels. Change came in 2024 when the panels completely changed. The area you are referencing looks to be where the bold positions for holding the panel in. The airbag is mounted dead center behind the panel.

The "airbag" tag I beleive is just warning you of the general vicinity. Here are some pics of the panel removed and the back and you can see the release seem.

I would just be careful with that placement. Few and far between that someone needs an airbag, just always want to be sure without taking a chance.

I mounted my "data plate" to my driver's door vertically on the exposed paint near the lower hinge. I felt this was the best substitution placement when comepaired to the Wrangler tailgate placement. Can be found but not in your face(pun intended lol)

The lower area is warning you that you are messing with an airbag back there.

Taking that part of the dash apart changed for 2024 - there's new screws to take out from the lower rear of that handle if you want to take the center apart.

On mine (2020), it's just a flimsy cover that hides the screws. I took the dash apart to replace the knee speakers a while back.

Okay now I feel vindicated.
I think its a load of horse hockey that is says other 0W-20 full synthetic oil can be used but MUST have the Starburst API symbol. And that only applies to 60,000 miles . They are just trying to get you to buy their Mopar 0w-20 and not anyone else's.

Where's that come from - you can use any 0w20 as long as it has the API designation.

The one I been using for 144k miles doesn't have that on it . But meet and exceeds the 6395 spec.

(My oil) does not seek API certification for most of its oils because obtaining and maintaining this certification locks manufacturers into a specific formulation, preventing them from making improvements without undergoing the licensing process again. Instead,( My oil)prioritizes flexibility in formulation to enhance product quality and performance.
Disclaimer: the name of the oil has been omitted to protect the innocent,
And Stan H . Didn't write that paragraph he merely copied and pasted

Not that it matters to anyone, but I use 5w40.
