My Mother-in-Law gave me a heavy rubber Rough Country bedliner for Christmas. I didn't ask for it, she got it for me because my Father-in-Law (passed 2 years ago, awesome guy and Wrangler owner) always said if you have a truck bed, you need a rubber mat. She not only remembered that, she followed his advice !! Surprised me for sure....

It took about 3 days for it to lay totally flat. It ain't no cheapie plastic mat, heavy rubber. The only thing I do NOT like about it is the shameless brand promotion stamped all over the mat. Rough Country went overboard.

This past Sunday I put matte black invasion stars on both sides of the bed by the tail lights. I do not want the large invasion star on the hood. I put the stars on squared-away and straight, not that tilted/crooked look that is all the rage right now for reasons that escape me. To me, it does NOT look "cool".... my Jeep, my rules. I'm a former Marine, that tilted look doesn't fly with me and never will.

My Molle panel kit (all three sides of the bed) will be in this Friday, so I'll be putting that in very soon.

Consider yourself blessed. Took like 3 months for the curl in my DeeZee bed mat to lay relatively flat and this was in the summer months.

Considering your summer months temperatures equal Texas' winter month temperatures, I can see why.... (I'm a former Long Islander). I bet if I laid my mat out in August, it'd be pool table flat in about 30 minutes. Maybe even melt a wee bit.

Little chincy stuff in between the rain. Weather has been “wonderful” here lately.
New badge from Loot Designs and some blacked out US flags from off of Amazon. Didn’t come out half bad under my sausage fingers.
Edit: They’re out of order. I’m technologically declined. You get the gist.

I've been leaning towards RPM for the drag link/tie rod and Dynatrac HD Balljoints. But I'm still researching.

Has held up real well this year with 42s, Tons, and Hydro assist on everything from Texas to Alabama, Missouri, and Tennessee. I don't go easy on them and I've watched other folks break their Tie Rod Ends on the same trail.

I remote started my Gladiator today. It started. I walked out and it wasn't running. Hopped in and started it again and then it died 5 seconds later. Didn't see any check engine lights or any codes. Started it again and no issue. Went and ran my errands and it never did it again. This is the second weird issue I've had. A few weeks ago, I got the service transmission light/message. It did it twice and never did it again. I wonder if my Tazer has anything to do with either issue. Not sure where to look for today's incident, but these glitches if thats what happened. They are not confidence inspiring. Just hope these things don't happen when I'm in the middle of nowhere Utah with no cell service.

Mounted the Curt Spectrum brake controller today. Used an existing screw on the left. I was originally going to drill a hole in the brace and add a screw on the right side too, but then I decided that even though a small additional hole most likely would be meaningless as far as structural integrity, who knows what BS an insurance company might pull in an accident. So I used a few zip ties there instead.

This wasn't today but was this past Saturday. I killed a tire where I don't even like to drive. I don't mind the design of the OEM jack but the JT unit is kind of a pile of dung (at least mine is).

Grumble, grumble. I've been Jeeping since '98. A LOT of days and miles on the trail. Southern Utah isn't usually to rough on tires but I finally killed a sidewall on a sharp edged rock. Changing it here kind of sucked.

I keep a bunch of my broken parts. I don't think I'll keep this tire? Time will tell. I always carry a high lift (some of you hate them, some know how to use them---you have to treat them like they'll kill you because they could). They are not my favorite tool to change a tire. You can make them work but I prefer the scissor or bottle jack for tire changes.

Bounced back to the forum to look up what people are using for alternative jacks to the OEM.

2025 was epic! I hope all have a safe, happy and healthy new year. My wish for you is to have your sidewalls and axleshafts be strong in 2026!

I went full HAM and carry the Badlands off-road jack with a 20t bottle jack. Badlands for the Jeep and bottle for the axle if it’s needed. It is a lot of weight but if it’s needed it’s way safer and way more efficient to change a tire out. I don’t really need the bottle jack at this point because I don’t have Super Flex but doesn’t mean someone else we run across won’t need it to get the job done. ;)
