quick update on my progress install of my Christmas gift, HF Apex 5500 winch. I have a design plan put together for the mounting frame that will fit in the spare tire space under the bed. I’ve got 90% of the steel I need for the frame, picking up a piece of channel tomorrow and will start cutting and welding.
Heading out to the desert in a couple of days with some friends and installed (temporarily) the new tool on a Draw Tight solid shank receiver hitch winch platform I’ve had for years to test out what its capable of.

maybe I can help you with some of your mis-understanding part on this…if you only read or listen to people who “Like“ what you write or say and you can’t deal with a difference of opinion or a even a derogatory / humorous comment about your words, you’ll continue to struggle not seeing the whole picture of your words and yourself from an introspective viewpoint.

I did not misunderstand. All the reviews I found for the flow master were good, but I did not like it. I then quoted the grinch. Best Christmas movie except, Christmas carol, wonderful life, and die hard. Thank you fo0r the music compliment.

Replaced the 6 year old vinyl center console that was starting to crack, with a steal of a deal new leather unit for $69. I replaced the whole unit, involving removing the back half of the center console. There's a much easier method just with the top alone. Instead of messing with the key lock, I just swapped the old in on the new. Maybe 30 minutes. If I just swapped the top, maybe 10.

Installed a sun visor molle panel pouch thing and 1 of the seat back molle organizers. Got a gift card for Amazon for Christmas and needed some organimization in my life. Originally thought to mount my 5.11 truck knife on the visor but found it mounted to the seat belt receiver way better. Visor pouch is pretty good for holding registration and a couple pens and maybe a write in the rain notebook. Maybe a seatbelt cutter and a spark plug. I’ll get some pics up later. I did this while waiting for the kids to get out of school and by the time I got back it was too dark.

Boring for most, but I love badge day. I’d been waiting for lost world and wipeout hill on back order since September. Finally put them on. Room for one more on passenger front, then I think I’m continuing behind the rear doors.

Had a few minutes where I wasn't busy and the weather wasn't OMG cold and snowing yesterday, so added Redline hood struts to the '25 Gladiator.

IDK why the directions don't tell you to just pop the plastic pushpin holding the weatherstripping on the hood instead of wiggling the backing plate around it. Moving the weatherstrip out of the way makes things a whole lot easier. Hell, add a dollar onto the cost and include a plastic removal tool for those who don't already have them.

And along those lines:
If Jeep is going to keep using prop rods to save a few bucks, at least offer these as a Mopar option. I probably would have just paid a little more to have these added on from the factory/dealer.

Utah doesn’t take that long. Colorado either. That’s most of mine. But it’s been all over. I’m thinking a long weekend to New Mexico during the winter to get those.

I removed the gladiator decal. But I can’t bring myself to remove the jeep letters. I already replaced both of them so they’d be level. I couldn’t handle the fact that the factory applies them without being parallel with body lines. I literally bought new ones to do that. But I’m bonkers in the head.

Possibly, but ive hit basically the entire SE. So the trips for more will have to get longer and longer lol. I know for sure I will be doing Up Hill Both Ways(Hawks Pride) later this year. Big MAYBE on a Colorado trip, which I would def let you know about. But I def see my collecting of badges slowing down haha. I went pretty hard in 2025.
