I thought on the outside of the plow brackets could work. Over them?Right where my snow plow mounts ....side of the frame horns just behind the bumper so frame reservoir mounting won't work for me.

I remove the brackets in the spring to reduce weight and increase clearance so as long as I can do that. I have two sets of relocation brackets at homeI thought on the outside of the plow brackets could work. Over them?
At first glace I also thought id want it a little lower, but I think it may work out with still being able to use the phone Mounts. Like I said I havent dont anything permanent yet so if placement is annoying or I dont like it then itll go in normal configuration.
Just food for thought here guys, but check with your local state police or whoever to make sure it doesn't violate your state's windshield obstruction laws. I ran into the issue when I was mounting my Garmin Tread Overland XL. AZ and Cali are really tight with their restrictions...Be sure to update with your thoughts. I've thought about moving mine down like that simply because we already have such a small windshield and it blocks a bit of view. The only real reason I hesitate is becuase I use the forward cam when on trail and it being mounted up high is nice.
Oh I didn’t remember that. And i certainly can’t disagree with that approach. I’m sure I’d do the same. I wonder if any Mojave owners have converted them to piggyback on the shock body. I don’t know enough about whether thr hose length is critical to fluid volume though.I remove the brackets in the spring to reduce weight and increase clearance so as long as I can do that. I will double check, but SC is SUPER lax on anything car related.Just food for thought here guys, but check with your local state police or whoever to make sure it doesn't violate your state's windshield obstruction laws. Do you have a parts list of components used with the mount? ThxI used some extra daylight that we have to get my wolfbox mocked up and mounted to my rubigrid. Going to ride around a few days to make sure I like the placement before I modify the rubigrid for the wires to fit through and running all the wiring etc. If I dont like it ill just mount in the normal placement.

Soooooo the verdict is, its too shakey. Even shakes at idle. I dont know if its because of the weight of the screen and the length of the factory style bracket or that its hollow under the rubigrid(likely a combination of both). Maybe one day if I am bored enough I may go and design something to 3D print thats a little lower with a shorter neck(the portion that pushes it out). But at the moment I will be mounting n the factory location.I used some extra daylight that we have to get my wolfbox mocked up and mounted to my rubigrid. I did this with the wolfbox Jeep mount and a Rubigrid dash mount.Do you have a parts list of components used with the mount? Thx
When we’re both bored, we should talk. Both of us want a solution to this. I’ve been contemplating it for a while, but I’m thinking you’ve got ideas I haven’t thought of yet. My phone ram mount shakes like a mother there. But I was hoping your mount was stronger.Soooooo the verdict is, its too shakey. Even shakes at idle. It just needs better shocks. I recommend Fox 3.0 for the adjustability and super cool aspect.Soooooo the verdict is, its too shakey. Even shakes at idle. So I get a call from advisor and she says they can't find the rattle or squeak. Tells me to take a tech on a drive. I said I can recreate by bouncing on bumper. He said I kinda of hear it I will just order you a new shock. I said I hate having one front shock with 19K miles and 1 new. He said I will just order you both. Tells advisor to order two. She gets on the phone and blurts out "Holy Shit". Uh oh I know thats not good news. She then says 45 days. I laughed and said I will probably still have it in 45 days. Now I'm going to spend 45 days beating the hell out of this thing. Since the front of the truck takes all the weight and abuse, it won't bother me to have two new front shocks and two in the rear with 19K. Overall I'm happy with the result other than the wait.Took the Jeep to dealership to have a drivers side front shock looked at. I think it's toast. Hopefully they replace under warranty. Forgot to disconnect Tazer. Oh well it has nothing to do with the shock.
I had Fox went to Falcon after Moab last year. Love my Falcons. It just needs better shocks. I recommend Fox 3.0 for the adjustability and super cool aspect.![]()
