I want to retire at 60 but this is one of my biggest concerns, healthcare coverage to bridge the gap from then until 65. I guess if I win the lottery, I can cover the costs.

My wife retired early and is now 64. She pays $1400 a month to Blue cross for a Blue Advantage plan. She’s healthy so she went with a somewhat higher deductible to lower premiums..

Added SeaFoam to the crank case for an oil change on Sunday. And picked up brake cleaner to scrub it up during the tire rotation. Penzoil is buy 5qts get a free STP oil filter right now and brake cleaner is buy 2 get 1 free. I’ve bought 3 5 gallon containers of oil so far. $10 saved is $10 saved and I’m cheap.

Today I took delivery of my Grimm Off-Road light bracket for the OEM steel bumper. It's quite beefy and it will not flex. No drilling needed. I like it. My plan is to install 5" round LED's and use one of them handy-dandy pre-installed aux switches. Got it late today, hopefully I can install tomorrow. Pics will follow. My 5" round LED's are Amazon specials, I bought a pair for 80 bucks. Nice wiring harness and comes with a 40A relay. Just to be a cheeky bastid, I also ordered a 5" round KC Hilites decal to put on my Chinese light covers. Yeah, I'm being a poser, I freely admit it....

Do any of you have any experience with Grimm Off-Road ? I went to their web site, I like what I see. I ordered the light bracket on Amazon, of course.... It wasn't the cheapest for a basic bracket (63 bucks), but the quality shows and WAY cheaper than the Mopar set and I don't have to drill, put in riv-nuts or cut anything. So Grimm Off-Road wins. I thought of fabbing my own bracket or simply drilling my bumper, but I know myself better. Any bracket I woulda fabbed up would look like it was made by stoned 9th grader basic in metal shop... Proficient metalwork is not in my wheelhouse.

Insurance comp claim? Fix it out of pocket? Wait for LKQ to get a blue tailgate without a dent?

Well. It's a truck. I use it like a truck. That's why it has a dented tailgate now.

So. Crack a beer about it I guess. How much worse can it get?

The paint is chipped at the plastic but I will touch it up.

I see Exteme Terrain has a tailgate spoiler that would cover this up. Don't love it, don't hate it. But it would be a $130 'fix' and give the tailgate lip some additional protection.

I bought a brand new Hyundai for my youngest kid when he got his license. He gave me no trouble, played ball, and got straight A’s. I was tired of his brother’s leaky, wrecked, POS cars in my driveway, and didn’t want another one like it.

What did I do? backed into that new car that I paid cash for with my truck in the dark when it was a couple months old.

Stuff happens.

Also my tongue box did not care AT ALL. The plastic on the tailgate literally just un-oxidized the paint and that was it

Trail electronics box done today. Apache 3800 is on sale at HF for less than the 2800. And I got a FREE BUCKET!!!!!
Leaves me enough room for one of those Zolio things in the future.

Looks like you fixed 95% of it and honestly does not look that bad. Maybe a PDR place can work the remaining?

Deleted/removed my Aux battery while replacing my main battery. Also hard wired my wolfbox and ran the rear(trailer) cam wire through the firewall and under the truck. Tomorrow I'll wire and mount my bumper plug and wire the cam onto the trailer. Doing more work on the trailer in the garage tonight.

Perhaps. We'll see what I feel like.

A PDR guy probably could have did it from the start and not crack the paint. But whatever. At this point I was like well let's see what I can do
