Exciting day. After work I changed the oil & filter, rotated the tires and added a Fumoto valve.

Not too bad.

Taking things apart had trouble with the little two wire connector for the horn. Mostly having to hold the airbag while using a pick tool to get that little connector to release.

This connector on the steering wheel was also difficult.

I just couldn't figure out how the release mechanism was supposed to work. Some sort of lever moved but it didn't seem to make any difference. Ended up getting a small safety pin and inserting the pointy end in to the one end of the housing to get the catch to release enough to be able to get the plug out.

Other than that, just take lots of pictures of the wiring before you start removing the old wiring harness from the steering wheel.

During assembly, I initially overtightened the screw holding the passenger paddle switch in place. Pressing that paddle didn't result in an audible click, so backed it off maybe a quarter turn and then it clicked when pressed just like the drivers' side.

Used Jscan to make the one setting change to set the paddle shifters as present.

Why did you have to completely remove the steering wheel it looks as though it goes on where the radio controls are . I aint sure about loosing that functionality. But it does look cool.
Did you get to choose which side you wanted +&- on ?

Now do I and I always suspected that the dealer just never gave it to me for a long time . Because for years I didnt know they ever existed. Then I read somewhere that unless it was specifically ordered along with the Alpine 9 speaker system then it wasn't included. It was an add on option that alot of dealers didnt even know about. So alot of them setting on lots didnt have them .
Mine has the premium Alpine 9 speaker system but alas no fancy removable Bluetooth speaker .
Also if it was originally there there is a charge port there.

1. 3D printed plugs for floor drain holes in the factory floor mats.

2. I Found the perfect spot behind the back passenger seat for my battery Charger/Jumper, Everything fit like a glove with no rattling around.

Why not remove the small capet piece the plug in the floor and stick the mat down in the former plug hole like it was designed ?
