Front diff was a lil dark and Grey.
Rear diff came out golden. Then I found this lil fella on the plug magnet.

Guess the magnet is doing it's job, but WTF is it from?

Hopefully it does NOT become catastrophic
I would be popping off that rear cover and inspecting.

OUcH!!!! Do you have a 4X shop close? Maybe take it there and see if you can do an exchange since you still have the shock in the box. I’ve found 4X shops are easier to work with than online businesses a lot of times. It’s that personal touch thing.
Great idea. There are a couple around Holly Oaks. 1 is a Hemi Swap shop

I would definitely get that rebuilt. When I found similar in my front last year, the pinion gear was trashed.

Sent mine to the dump, 2700lbs of poison ivy roots, random stumps and shit found in our recently cleared fields. My daughter also customized the back of my seat with her muck boots 🤣

Yesterday I installed silicone tubing around my rear window in my hard top. I was getting a drop or two leaking in when it rained so I wanted to stop it before it got worse. Install went well except the last foot or so of the drivers side. It was extremely difficult to squeeze the 7mm tubing in there. I hope the pressure doesn't cause any issues on that side.

About 3800’ on the way to Idyllwild. Out in the sticks where the coyotes and the big cats and bigger cats play. :CWL:
Makes sense I've been wanting to check out Idyllwild for awhile now. Any recommendations on spots to check out?

To follow up on this, it rained all day yesterday and I didn't find a single drop inside. It looks like this fix might have worked. Thanks, everyone, for posting your tips and tricks for fixing the rear window leak issue!
