Topped off the coolant reservoir thanks to another thread that reminded me to check on it. Not much else as we’re on a power outage today thanks to our wonderful electric company doing maintenance. Thank heavens I have a decent solar system to keep the essentials + a little bit extra going without running the Genny.

Ours keeps going out and the humidity will make ya sweat like a whore in church.

Yep as supposed to be from 8am-5pm. Ended up being 8am-11pm. Thankfully my smaller solar setup had enough battery storage to see us through with the water heater shut down. 6 hours late finishing a job I’d have been fired when I was working. Guess I need more batteries.

Well waiting for Jeep Care to tow my shit ox to the dealership I took an oil sample. This oil only had 400 miles on it.

I knew it was bad.......but the Glitter Smoothie in the catch can confirmed. Can't wait to see how it looks in the oil pan.

For record the cam, lifters and rockers were done in March 2026.......and here we are 3 months later with valve train noise and rod knock.

And yes, the catch can was emptied and cleaned when I did the oil change.

Made a SGM bypass relay switch so I don’t have to reach under the dash to disconnect the connectors every time when using a scanner. Just press a button and connect via the OBD port.

That’s outstanding. So the switch essentially disables a tazer or similar, and puts it back to stock, without removal? I’d love to see that wiring diagram.
