Super easy install but took me a minute to figure out that I have to enable the trailer plug via my TAZER Mini

Also noticed that my 3rd Brake light is out 🤦‍♂️

Had you previously disabled the trailer plug? I ask as when I installed mine I didn’t have to do any programming. Just plugged it in and I was off.

Oh wait, I got the one without the brake light so maybe that’s the difference. 🤔

Took the hardtop off and installed Hot Head Headliner. Nice little addition. Now with the heat wave we are having I hope they remain on the roof.

Saw a video yesterday that reminded me about the cabin air filter. Although my JT is only 2000 miles new she has still been off road and down dusty trails. So I was a little embarrassed I hadn’t checked before now.

It was time for a change! LOL So I got a new clean filter this afternoon and swapped them out.

New filter ready to go!

Retired. Finally !!
I do my most unusual thinking when I'm lying in bed at night trying to sleep.

Last night, for some reason, the thought of, "When was the last time I checked my oil ?" came to mind. As I've mentioned before, I had it changed in January. It's now July and for the life of me I can't recall ever checking it. In fact, I couldn't remember if I checked it after the change like I always have done. Now I'm laying there in bed berating myself for being so stupid. Why have I skipped this simple, yet vital, inspection ??

Preface - My vehicle before this was a Renegade. The Tigershark engine literally drinks oil. There was a recall about it because it was so bad. Jeep's "solution" was to check your oil after every fill up. Seriously, per Jeep. Well, I drove a lot for work and was filling up twice a week. VERY inconvenient to say the least. Add the fact that at each fill up I had to add 1/4 to 1/2 a quart of oil. Until the day I got rid of that POS.

This morning I got up, made a cuppa Joe, grabbed a shop rag, went outside and popped the hood. As I'm slowly pulling out the dip stick, I quietly mutter, "please please please please". I blindly wipe the stick and re-insert it. I pull it out... look...FULL !! I wipe, re-insert and check again. Full.

I was happy then thought, in the Renegade, you HAD to check the oil 5-10 minutes after the engine was warmed up, never check on a cool engine, you'll have false readings (per Jeep). Contradictive to how I checked oil for my entire life, but, hey, it's a Renegade, lotta stupid crap on that vehicle.

I hop in, go to the grocery store, load up, drive home. I wait 10 minutes, pull the stick, still full.

God I love this Jeep !!

I guess I did since I liked to tinker with the TAZER Mini. In the TAZER Lights menu there is Trailer Light ON/OFF

Installed an AMAZON Knock-Off Trail Rail System

Those with Spray On Bed Liner need to drill and chase the thread in the bed walls

I put on a set of those Amazon specials. Works just fine. Easy install. A lot of griping from reviewers because the install instructions weren't the most concise. All it took was open eyes to see how it goes. I wanted to get the Mopar set, I like OEM, but when I saw Mopar's asking price, I spent the next 20 minutes pulling out the underwear that got sucked up my butthole.

Added a MagSafe (iPhone) charging pad to keep the phone charged on long drives. Attached it to the front side of the console bin with a circle of industrial strength Velcro, routed to the side and plugged into the USB port inside the console. I used this one from Amazon at https://a.co/d/0aUaJN0L after trying others; it came with the appropriate USB adapter and didn’t fail to work as several others had.

What’s so hard about installing this thing? It’s like 12 screws and two threaded sleeves. Took a bit longer for me since had to drill out and chase the threaded holes in the bed walls.

100% not paying for MOPAR branding.

Id have to agree with this statement. I haven’t installed one, but it’s a piece of metal with holes that goes in the holes in the bed. Line it up right and screw it in. 1st world problems.
