Got cupping on my passenger front Firestone MTs and had no proof that we were rotating them the last 22K miles so we’re SOL and I decided to just get new tires.

Took this opportunity to upgrade and get 285/70/17s, and go to ATs since we do a lot of highway driving vs trails (never, currently…but will get into camping after we move to Montana).

I like these Bridgestone’s so far. Suuuper quiet and very smooth on the road. We’re about to take a long family roadtrip for this move and these are gonna save my sanity, I know it.

Crappy pictures:

The "what did I do to my Gladiator" part is I removed the rebel half rack and topoak tent. Posted it for sale, and a local wants to throw it on this beast.

CJ-8 Scrambler on a JLU chassis with 392 swap.

He is confident he can get everything to fit with the proper amount of force. Will be cool when it's done.

Replaced my engine and cabin air filter. Also had my front and rear diff oil changed at 27K miles. It's probably a little early, but no vehicle has ever failed because of clean oil.
How did that engine replacement go?

Ah, either someone forgets the Saturday morning short Conjunction Junction or you're too young for it....

His sentence is correct; the conjunction "and" is used to join words that share equal importance.

Class dismissed. Read chapter 14, test this Friday.

Now I got that song stuck in my head, so let me pass on the pain....

Nope. He didn’t use the plural ā€œfiltersā€ which left it wide open to infantryman interpretation and unnecessary humor! 😁

Finally found a mounting location for my Midland MXT575 that I like. Put the regular mounting bracket on the back side of the dead pedal hanger with velcro (loop side) to take up a little space then finagled the radio onto the bracket in the "normal" manner. Stays put well enough and as a bonus an 8' piece of RG8x through the firewall makes it to the antenna on the passenger side fender without too much left over. Also a 1.5' RJ45 extension cable adds just enough length to let the mic hang comfortably from a Tackform grab handle mount.

Interesting location. I was shocked at how big the 575 was when I bought mine. I had to completely redo my overhead molle panel. It takes up half of it! Almost as big as an old school CB
