I will second that about the hood struts ! I have a set and install was very easy and if you take your time 1/2 hour install ! No more prop rod !!Haven't had a chance to drive in conditions where fog lights would really matter - or show me the difference between stock and these.
The struts, however, that's easy.
The install is easy and quick. No drilling, you use two existing fender bolts for the lower bracket, and the upper bracket (on the hood) uses an existing slot.
These are strong struts.
They shipped them in a strong tube USPS.
I've never been a fan of the "prop rods" but the Jeep version bothers me because the clip that holds it up on the hood when not in use is really stiff and I'm concerned about cold weather - plastic - snap.
And I've always been concerned about my making a bad move or turning wrong and bumping the prop rod.
When my wife saw me get the mail and bring it in -I told her what it was - and said "you know how your Jeep has struts so when you open the hood it goes up and stays up, no rod in the way, but on mine..............." and she made the motion as if drawing out a prop rod and acted as if she fully approved.
Anyway, the brackets look very strong, are simple to install, and if you trade Jeeps would be extremely simple to remove and transfer to another.
