There’s a difference to an open bed, and one with a topper with a screen window when it’s warm out. Just because some put dogs in beds, without leashes on, does not mean their dogs are abused. Any dog left in a hot car or topped bed is at risk. Those owners are careless. A dog laying down or standing in a covered bed is no more unsafe than them standing on the seat. Obviously leashing a dog in the bed or cab is dangerous to the dog.You will do what you want, but highly reccomend against a dog in the bed. Wife is a vet tech and weekly sees dogs choked from short leashes "preventing them from jumping out" then dangling off the bed, road rash and broken bones from getting thrown from the truck, loads of heat exhaustion without the owners knowing till its too late. Love your pup like your people family, toss them in the cab and have it ready for them in there.
