I was inflating inner tubes for floating down a river while drinking not anything critical
You and I might have different definitions of "critical".

The one time I wanted to use it in my first 5 months was to blow out some sand in the bed. Found the outlet wasn't rated high enough for a leave blower...Maybe someday I will find another use for it.

For the last year, I have pulled 230 watts off the plug in the bed everytime the truck is running. So, every day. 200 watts to charge my bluetti battery station and 30 watts to run my Engel Fridge. I have encountered no ill effects by doing this.

I saw that a Traeger grill will work or possibly a griddle, a radio, but nothing with a motor load, charging batteries should work, would be handy for charging a drill or chainsaw but not sure if it would do it.
It will charge batteries.

I didn’t get the 115v bed outlet on my 2021 JTR. I have the 8.4” radio. I have the outlet in the back seat. I have the 400 watt inverter. Did not come with the outlet in the bed. However I added it myself with Mopar parts after purchase. I tested it out after install & lit up a house lamp with it, tried a Vacuum would not work. Haven’t used it since. I saw that a Traeger grill will work or possibly a griddle, a radio, but nothing with a motor load, charging batteries should work, would be handy for charging a drill or chainsaw but not sure if it would do it.
For anyone looking in -
Pretty easy to determine if it would do it.........
400 watts
Everything you buy that runs on normal household current has an amperage rating, maybe a watts rating.
amps times volts = watts.
You are looking at a max of roughly 3.5 amps.
Things with motors though may pull a momentary surge much higher than that.
A leaf blower? I'd never even try mine - even without looking at the sticker on the leaf blower.
Battery charging - yeah, no troubel.

Yes, but the outlet in the bed only comes with the package that has the trail rails, and I think maybe one other package. It's not standard with the 8.4" radio.
You only get the outlet in the console with that radio.
To get the one in the bed is another big spend - and I didn't want the pricey trail rail and other off-road stuff when I already had my own rails I made up and the other stuff.
I don't know if any of the other models have the wiring like the Rubicon has but I was able to buy the port dash piece and switch for $200.00. Took about an hour to install so if you are looking for that option I have a parts list I can give you. At least for the Rubicons the wiring is already installed regardless if you got the package or not.

I really wish I had one - while camping I could recharge my hearing aids, recharge portable lights, recharge my battery pack I use to power other stuff. Otherwise I have to plug an adapter into my the 12v outlet in my jump pack to charge my hearing aids over night because the truck's USB ports keep shutting off after 30 minutes or so.
HI. We have very similar needs to those of yours. We've satisfied those needs with basic units from Goal Zero. I'd recommend you take a look at those and see how they may help keep your devices goal. Even a Yeti 200 would likely keep you going if you drive while you're camping. If you mainly basecamp then consider a 500 or 1000. Best to you and yours! Ofer Morag

I added the bed plug using the thread I found on here. Mostly use it to power the fridge until I get to the campsite, then switch to the battery.

I'd not mind one of those electric coolers - so I didn't go through so much ice each swap meet.
I don't know how well those work or how much they draw, what they'll hold, whatever, but I figured it would be nice just to have a cooler to keep some drinks cold, maybe a sandwich or two and not have to run into a hotel and empty out their ice machine every night LOL

I'm interested in this parts list. Sounds like a weekend project. I'll use it to charge batteries and such.

Hmmm, you could plug a battery charger in back there and keep your truck batteries charged up.

OK, maybe not.

I can tell you, mine will keep things frozen over a 3 day weekend in Florida heat. I have a 120W solar panel and, as long as it is sunny, will keep the 500W Jackery battery charged while running the cooler.

Oh, and I use the 12v outlet I installed in the bed. Why add in inefficiency into the equation by converting 12v DC into 120v AC, just to convert back to 12v DC to run the fridge (Or charge battery). Most of these coolers have under volt cutoff, and my Jackary does as well… so the battery will not overdischarge the vehicle, ant the fridge likewise.

I do know that if you have the 115v 400W power outlet inside the jeep it is as simple as buying these parts below and youtubing the install.

1.) Headlamp Switch bezel - 6NU24TX7AB

2.) Inverter Switch - 68370049AA

3.) Jumper Wiring - 68398209AB

4.) Inverter Power outlet - 68312754AC

5.) Tapping Pan Head screw and washer - 6104610AA (4)

6.) Plastic Nut - 6509748AA (4)

Most were bought from www.bamwholesaleparts.com but I did have to ebay the inverter power outlet and also find the Headlamp Switch Bezel after calling multiple websites and dealerships.
