TK's Garage is proof you can have a successful YouTube channel by only reading others people published content with no original content other than expressing an opinion of what one has just read.
Man do I agree with that.

Man do I agree with that.
His channel exploded earlier this year when he grifted on the story of a military service member that was coming off deployment and the dealership sold out from under him his custom order Demon.

That is the only reason I know of TK's Garage and his videos keep getting pushed into my YT feed.

It's always been the insurance apps that tracked my data. "Don't forget to download and install our app for a 10% discount." Sold myself out every time.
I don't mind the $576.00 annual savings, though............. that's far far more than 10%.
Went from 3,100/year for 2 Jeeps (JT and 2023 JLU 4xe) and 2 cars to about 2500/yr.

Hard braking, speeding, acceleration etc. she had a new Chevy Camaro and it was logging everything and sending it to Lexi’s nexis who in turn sold it to her insurance company.
Bravo. I tired of morons and bixxxxs like that running up rates and making the roads unsafe. Bravo. About time they get their due since with the defunding of police over the last couple of decades there aren't enough of them to keep with with the SOBs like that.
Sorry, but i shed no tear for that "woman" and am fact cheering that finally, she's not getting away with making things bad for the rest of us.
In other words - she finally got just what she deserved, probably for a long time.

As for the other vids - old old "news" - a lot of it rather melodramatic in some ways. They make it look so common and simple, when much of that is proof of concept, or you at least STILL need access. Without access to some specifics, they aren't able to "send" commands that will be accepted.

And yes, OnStar can stop a thief and so on, but that's not "government" and it takes some doing for them to prove what's going on. They can't just contact OnStar and say "stop this vehicle".
All of the other stuff is as I said - they have to have access of some sort, or be pretty close (wifi or BT type range)
I know all about those videos and the stuff about hacking and theft and so on that's been out there literally for years.

Jeep isn't GM, our systems are at least for now, different.
No one can simply call a company and have a vehicle stopped
No one can access the system to mess with it like those other vids show without some physical access first.

There's a reason I keep my vehicles in a locked garage, and know exactly who touches or drives it and so on. I'd likely notice if a device has been connected in.

I would like someone to make a screen that just runs CarPlay, unplug the phone and I goes dead.
