What is this for?

Might be a dumb question, but what is the plug that is between the auxiliary switches on our trucks. It looks like a cat5 cable. Had my Jeep for 2 years now and no idea what it does.

The LASFIT kit has that, I don't believe OEM does. On mine (Rubi) that's where the sway bar switch resides.

I flush-mounted an RJ45 for my radio handset on the right side of the center stack. Maybe the previous owner of your truck had something similar and just used the Lasfit kit instead of DIY'ing it.
