I just can’t fathom why though, I mean if you have an older truck but for the JT OPs out here it is pointless to me. A few of you have stated the obvious: the back up cam is on point, the JT turns tighter, the hitch itself takes away from payload and the most blaring the joints would clang and bang in a way That would bother most. I had come across this the other day and was like

Do you mean that 15 years ago if I had mounted my red flag I used on a magnet I could be selling them and making a fortune right now??
Harbor Freight has been selling these for at least 20 years.

Can't use this with a WDH either. I use the zoom function on my Gladiator and line it up in one try.... almost every time.

That leaves out a whole lot of the hitches on the road - and many running without WDH should be running WITH.

If I go back to when I first started using flags to line up farm equipment hitches, it would be the 1980s because I had a whole lot of field tiling done and had dozens of those tall red flags when that was all wrapped up. I still have a handful today. They are taller than used by utility companies because they were for seeing in farm fields so the wire was longer

The H-F ones make me think back over the years all of the times I've seen tennis balls hanging from garage rafters.
Me - I paint red lines on the floor and back up to those - the camera on these Jeeps really helps me get that lined up perfect every time. I started doing that so I could line up perfectly under the roof lift setup I put in my garage. Back in between those lines, stop when I see a line in a certain spot and things line up perfectly for lifting the roof - or setting it back on again.

After going through the posts, I feel better about not looking at the link. ;-)
