Thanks to @spazzyfry123 here, Flush mount lights rear bumper this is the closeup of what is thought to be a European/Middle Eastern rear fog light This ovalish port is probably not unique to this part. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what other sensor/accessory/light/ect. would also use this same port style so I can source the wire connector? I'm guessing FCA also used this same connector on JLs, so if you have a suggestion for a JL part that would work too.

Once I order one I can give a higher res photo, but i'm still debating if I want to go this route or not.

Thanks!

OEM connectors are intentionally a crapshoot to idiot-proof them. You'll have a specific connector type and pin count that are universal and appear to match but they'll be keyed a certain way to make sure that you can only connect the correct connector into them.

You'd honestly need a much better resolution pic to be able to determine what is needed for that one then buy the matching connector from someone like Mouser to build your own.

Following this to see what the answer is. I'm always up for mods that look factory optioned, but aren't, and these look super cool.

It sure looks awfully similar to the license plate lamp connector used on the JLs... If you look closely at the closeup you had posted @steffen707 you can see a vertical slat on the left side and a small notch on the bottom right.

Since the mating connector is molded into the part itself I would expect it to be a more popular type of sealed automotive connector from a big brand. Looks kind of like the Delphi/Aptiv Metripack 150 or 150.2 series. Could try Molex MX150 or Delphi weatherpack

Aptiv, Molex, look at TE Connectivity too. Probably a connector in one of those three manufacturer’s catalogs.

Will have to make you get the correct polarizing option (the little slots that make sure you can’t plug in a similar but not identical connector)

Guys, just sharing my thoughts...

I've tried to do a quick search - for no avail so far. But I'm pretty darn sure MOPAR/FCA got an OEM wiring harness available out there for that - just hidden in a part diagram and named only by part number. Guys from Europe might be able to find it for us. If it's OEM-designed, they have the right harness and it will be plug-n-play.

An easy solution to wire it might be getting a t-connector from the trailer wiring harness itself, or directly from behind the tailights. Again, buying harness like 68349976AC, 68004167AA for JK import (wich have the same connector as shown above) or similar will save a lot of pain.

I did a similar thing on my JK, going the splicing route, but ending up finding that Mopar had the proper harness available in NA for under 30$.

any idea where the main wiring harness label is on a JT? Then maybe @DiscoDino could tell us what his is and then we could buy one. But i'm also thinking if I get a fog light in the mail with a high res photo we should be able to find a plug.

Hey - AllMoparParts has my VIN so he'll be managing the parts sourcing necessary and what not.

Best,
