Hello all, I recently got a gladiator sport edition without the max tow package. I have the stock 17x7.5 inch wheels and was wondering what tire size I need to be looking at that would fit.
I’m going to be getting the AEV 2” spacer kit to run 35s on it.
Does anyone have any suggestions or help? I’m completely new to all of this!

Toyo A/T III. It's a new tire but is available in 35x11.50x17 C.

Get a E Rated 10 Ply tire if you plan on wheeling it or towing anything, they will last longer. I suggest BFGs 315 70 17 KO2s or 35 12.5 17 KO2s, IMO it's the best all around tire for a daily driver that's proven off-road as well.

I put 33" Falkens (255-80-17E) on my max tow with no suspension changes. I got the 10" wide tires, better for snow, etc. than the 11.2" wide Rubi size (285-70-17C). The 255s are also 10.3 lb. lighter (52.5 lb vs. 62.8 lb) and 0.3" taller). In 35", Falken AT3W are available at 34.6" and 34.8" spec, 72.8 and 75.4 lb. (315-70-17 and 35x12.5x17).. Another size would be their 285-75-17 at 33.9", 65.5 lb, I like to get E rated tires for off-road durability, but keep weight down for steering, etc. durability and responsiveness. If you ever have to change a tire by yourself, you will not want the heavier choices! I like the Sport S aluminum wheels accented with black lug nuts and with bigger than stock tires on them.

I like the 315-70-17 Bfg A/T load range C. Weight is close to stock 33" tires & perform great.

Note that the 35" Falkens are rated for 8-11" and 8.5-11" wheels, respectively, not stock 7.5". The 34" tire is rated for 7.5-9.5". Wheel widths include the stock 7.5" for the 33" tires. Whatever brand you select, check the allowable widths on a site such as discount tire, and realize that taller and wider tires will give more potential interference with fenders and suspension.

If you plan on driving on the road more than offroad, and aren't wanting full-on mud tires, the new Nitto Ridge Grapplers are great tires.

If you want mud tires, the Kumho Road Venture M/T KL71 and the MT71 model tires are both good to look into. I have the KL71 tires on my Jeep. They're quiet, ride smooth, balanced very easily, and handle very good on the street, as well as do well offroad.

I get all mine from @Discount Tire here on the forum. They're a forum sponsor, so you will always have good customer service. And you can PM them to see what kind of a deal they can get for you.

There are many solid choices in tires now days as mentioned. Which tire is best for you depends on your driving conditions, how you drive and what you are looking for in your next tire. If we can help you narrow down your choice please let us know.

The op's hope to use 35" tires with stock wheels limits the choices because many 35's are spec'ed only for wider wheels, Additionally, non-max tow axles are narrower and will give more interference to suspension components with taller and wider tires. Discount Tire did help me with my choice and I am happy with the deal I got and with the Falkens. I wanted the best tire for my use and don't care if they impress anyone else with an "aggressive" appearance. Another issue with 35's is gearing; if non-max tow, it is probably 3.73s. I know 35's and 37's are the stylish choices (and good for ground clearance in rocks), and JT owners on the forum seem to consider anything shorter to be "tiny," but it is a slippery slope. I am not criticizing anyone else, just trying to give another viewpoint.

Lots of great info here that I didn’t even think of. Maybe I’ll go with 33s! Just placed my order for the AEV leveling kit, excited to see how it all comes together. Thanks again for the great info.
