We got ducks from one side of the windshield to the other. Grandkids (12, 10, 9, 6 and 3) think the ducks are the coolest thing in the known world; and we don't care one way or the other as long as they ain't in our way. The grandkids fun is much more important (to us) than our image pro or con duck. When the kids get tired of (or outgrow) the ducks, we will be done with them too.

If you like the ducks, enjoy. If you don't or you feel they somehow detract from your machismo, that's OK too. This is the United States of America and a Jeep pilot has the right to duck or not. Long live the Republic!

We trudge on.
I was gassing up the JT one cold windy day. Hat on, sweatshirt hood up, back to the wind while it filled. Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and there's a woman standing there with a young boy standing next to her. She hold her hand out - and says "this is for you" and hands me a duck. That kid's face lit up and he jumped up and down all excited as they walked clear across that big gas station lot to their truck. The joy that kid felt - priceless. He turned to see me open the door and set the duck on the dash then turned and looked at the woman and said something to her.
My wife hates grumps and grumpy people. She likes fun and positive attitudes - and she wants the ducks put back in her new JLU as soon as possible even though she won't be driving for several months due to her shoulder surgery.

This was her 2023 - I've not got the ducks, and Rudolph, back into the 26 yet - she keeps asking if Rudolph is back home yet.

I've received quite a few, but I only keep the first two on the dash. I absolutely had to display the first one I got, as it was a shamrock duck. I mean, it would be bad luck to not keep / display that one. The second one is just there to keep the shamrock duck company. The rest ride in the bottom of the center console until my girlfriend feels like giving one away. So, I have my two.

@Mud Pie Yep. You’re ducked my man. Just go ahead and paint the Jeep yellow with an orange hood. Change the horn to an obnoxiously loud quack, get a sign for the doors that says “Will wave for bath toys”. It’s a slippery slope and you, Sir, have found the proverbial banana peel.
not gonna lie...i'd install a quacker horn!! I'd really like a train horn just for kicks!!

Not a fan, but i don't like the Red Socks either. GO YANKEES (not much better) but im a lifer good or bad.

If i get one i give it right away. No room in teh console and no need for anything extra on my dash. I lost many packs of...gum, yeah gum ;) 🚭 out open windows and have developed strong dislike for things on my dash board, Including feet. Ain't no one one the road that needs to see your grubby feet on a dash board as a passerby or as a passenger.

I think it is cool Jeep has their own little communities with and in teh end we are all Jeep lovers.
I have only been ducked once. Hope I didn't jinx myself.

Working on my train horn at the moment. It’s a long term project I guess. I keep getting squirreled by things I find on the internet. 🤷‍♂️

My kids like them, they like to duck other jeeps when we're out and about. I want my kids interested in Jeeping and offroading in general. On a nice Saturday we all get up and go riding if we have nothing else to do, and if a rubber duck or two on the dash is what gets them "into" it, then so be it. I get to wheel more when my family is interested in it vs when I take off by myself, it's why I sold my Harleys and bought the Jeep in the first place.

I've never been so sensitive that a child's toy hurts my feelings. I've had a few I didn't want on my dash, they go in the cupholder and it takes about 3 minutes around my part of town to see another Jeep to put the duck on, or just toss it into the back with the ones my kids give out to other Jeepers.

I see that and then wonder - are you really, afraid of a little inanimate rubber object, that it might do some damage (more than the trail rash you already have) or it might insult your "manhood" in some way?
If a person is so weak...............

There's precisely one duck on my dash, a Gandalf duck given to me by my daughter. On one occasion a woman in a parking lot gave me a duck, I kept it for maybe a week and passed it on to another Jeep.

I usually pass them on too.
The last one I got was a unicorn.
I thought that was pretty funny.
My wife gave it away.
