IMO they go on the front corner of the bottom lip of the top. Once installed, they protect the edge from getting beat up if u let ur top tilt forward or the actually slide well on PLYWOOD if u need to move the top once it is in the shed. Also protects corners if u use a shopvac to hold the top flat and not tilt it forward.

This looks correct. I tried to attach them to the front tabs of the roof, but they kept falling off.

I love this forum
I agree, I had ask a salesman (learned to never ask a salesman anything) and he gave some BS answer that it was for the freedom panels if you were going to set them upright on concrete, went to jeep.com and asked there and they couldn't answer my questions, instead ask for part number despite telling them that they rubber pcs. were in a pouch on the freedom top bag. Found the answer here, just took a couple of post to get a picture with them in place. I had tried to snap those damn things into every pc on my Gladiator and couldn't find where the glass slipper fit.

Looks like the bevel on the front is there specifically if it is tilted forward.

Thanks guys. I'd still like to see a pic showing the whole roof with these rubber biscuits  in place so we can see the exact location

Was also wondering what the pieces were used for, kept searching and found relevant video clip from quadratec:

Jeep Gladiator What the Heck are These? In the Freedom Top Bag.... Rubber top braces
I have mine set up like this. Just not a fan of the weight on the front of the top where the bolts go through, I feel it is a weak point . Might fab some lumber up to keep the top parallel to the ground and the weight on the rubber pad.

I did the same setup, but rested the front on a 6 inch thick box to relax the angle a little. Then covered the top up with a blanket. Seems fine, but I need to invest in a hoist or something better at some point.

I am updating this question for 2020- These are still a mystery! NOT what they are for, but how, exactly, are they used/placed? Even the jeep dealership had no idea what they were for OR how to use them. Right now, I'm using them on the OPPOSITE side of the foam channel of the storage bag. I figure they are intended to minimize and movement or severe "rubbing" of the panels once they are actually inside the bag.
