Father's Day is coming up, and it got us wondering... 🤔

🎁 What's the least favorite Father's Day gift you've ever received?

Maybe it was another tie 👔, another coffee mug ☕, socks 🧦, or something that left you wondering, "What am I supposed to do with this?" 😬

Bonus points if it was truck or vehicle related. Was it a universal accessory that fit absolutely nothing ❌, a gimmick that never worked 🧰, or a gift that was meant for a completely different truck? 💩

Let's hear your best worst Father's Day gift stories. 🤥

To me, there is no “worst” Fathers day gift. If my kids remember me, it’s a good Father’s Day.

How about, “What’s the BEST Father’s Day gift you ever got"

Both my boys playing a new Taylor I bought at Father’s Day last year.

Wow, this post kinda went sideways... LOL

Okay guys, it was me. I'm the one who had the idea about the post. Truck accessories is our living, so I'm sure it's no surprise that we want to visible in an enthusiast group like the Jeep Gladiator Forum.

I figured that we should probably do a Father's day post because most of y'all are probably dads, and Father's Day post is what the marketing types would probably expect us to do. Yes, I said "probably" 3 times in that sentence. I called the team together and tried to brainstorm a bit.

First it was a thought about Father's Day gift suggestions, but I know for a fact, that even if I tied to tell my kids what I want for my truck, I might end up with something from Temu. It's bad enough to get a tie that you wear one time for the picture, but if you get something for your rig, there's a feeling of obligation to install it, or appear ungrateful. We toy'd around with that idea for a while, but everything we were coming up with, just felt like we were pushing products at everybody and it feels like we do that enough already, so I suggested we just make the post about the worst Father's day gift, because that sounded fun, and I'd already come up with the tie idea, so that's where it landed.

Sorry folks, my bad! I know your kids love you and wasn't trying to insinuate otherwise.

Todd, many of us understand to be able to post on a free message board, there are ads and posts that help float the costs. If you don't like the post, you're free to ignore the thread.

I'll chime in...

Best gift: free time. There was a Father's Day in which I watched baseball all day, had some beers, and my wife and kids took me to dinner. I love to BBQ, but it was nice to literally have no responsibilities all day.

Worst gift: one year we basically forgot it was Father's Day. My first son was just out of babyhood and I think about half of the day passed before we realized what the day was. LOL.

I appreciate it Dirk!

Confession: I've actually never gotten a tie for Father's Day. Last year, I did get a really cool carving knife. Definitely an upgrade to the one I already had. They know I spend a lot of time with the smoker and grill, so it was very functional, and it has a Japanese theme to it, so I feel like a ninja when I use it. All adds to the experience! ;)

I don't remember ever getting a bad gift for Father's Day, but for Christmas, my son decided to recreate the scene from the movie Elf where Buddy gave his dad lingerie with a note that said "For someone special". Before you ask, I held it up to my chest for the picture, but didn't put it on. It was well worth the laughs.

Yeah kinda went sideways right from the start. Guess the GPS got confused. I don’t usually get much for Father’s Day. We focus on Mother’s Day and the kids birthdays because they seem more important to us. I’m happy as long as the bills are paid and everything in the house pretty much works as it should. If they don’t break anything on Father’s Day I consider that a gift. :CWL:
