What's under all that plastic ?

Just wondered . Looks to me like there's no metal framework behind the "wings". Anybody strip the plastic off and run it that way ? Love to see a picture of what all that plastic is hiding . Cheap metal bumper ? Ha !

Like maybe 18ga steel. It’s flimsy as heck. Think of both the front and rear factory bumpers as an illusion and act accordingly.

Shorten it to a stubby and make a Kydex cover for it or pop rivet sheet aluminum over it. Has some possibilities.

I agree . Maybe not shorten but strip
the plastic and remount the fog lights . I've already spent $4000 on upgrades in the two weeks I've had it. .Most of that was the premium soft top . Budget blown.
Did you put a steel bumper on ?

That's awesome. I'm about to do that very same thing. I may go one step further and see about relocating the solenoid so nothing sticks out of the bumper.

thanks. Ive got a Expedtion One winch bumper made for a JKU that i modified to fit my JT. I do how ever have a metal factory bumper that i plan to put on. I just need a winch plate. My Jeep has since changed alot since this picture. I no longer have the tent, rack, softopper, stock whees/tires. lol. I'll post my new setup here shortly.
