Anybody have new info? I just bought JL Rubi wheels / tires for my wife's Gladiator Sport S. I had no idea of this possibility and am not sure we should go through with the swap now. I don't know either how to decipher the codes on the back of the Rubi wheels nor the JT.
I’m trying to figure out the same thing. Check out my other post with a poll: “JLR wheels on JTR”

No consensus. Seems most people are going aftermarket for wheels, but 5 brand new BFG KO2s with 5 alloy wheels, all w/TPMS for $1100-1200 is a steal and I can’t pass it up!

You could always keep your current wheels/tires for towing and the others for offroading

I am set to get 5 KO2s with just 500mi on them on 18” sahara wheels for $600

Wow, and I thought I was getting a good deal. Tires alone are worth $1250 new!

Well, I just figured, what the hell. I put the JL Rubi wheels and tires on. I could not find anything remotely helpful. At least they look great.

So I finally heard back from FCA.

The load rating on the factory wheels is "either unavailable or considered proprietary, so no information is available."

The load rating on the Jeep Gladiator accessory wheels from Mopar is 1,950 lbs.

This is shocking, because even the cheap aftermarket wheels have a 2,500 lb. load rating most of the time. Also, using my JT as an example with only my 12 year old son and I in the truck my rear axle was carrying 2,330 lbs. at the local CAT scale. My payload is 1,511 lbs. So if I were to load my truck to maximum, the wheels on the rear would be completely maxed out.

Oh well, I'm going to aftermarket wheels and load range E tires next week, so that'll be the least of my concerns. :)

And if you happen upon a big issue with the road - isn't the impact on the wheels going to be greater? I mean, the force higher than that 1950?
IMO you don't really want to be running even close to the wheel rating due to the impact issue - while something may take the force of a 16 pound hammer resting on it, give it a bit of a swing............ ??
I've worked on broken axles and when I asked what happened in a couple of cases it was "hole in the road". (likely they were already maxed out)

I ended up passing up on that deal. I got a set of rims (5) for $130 and 4 Falken Wildpeak M/T (only 1/32 wear on them) in 255/75/17 (so they would mostly match my stock tires) for $400 and think I'll be much happier with that route.
