I have a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon on order and to pass the time I have been ordering parts. I have a set of Quadratec Morphic wheels. They are 17"X8.5", with a Backspace of 5.2" and offset of +10 mm. I was under the impression that these were the perfect fit for my application; 2" MOPAR lift and 35X12.50X17 Toyo R/T tires. Now I am hearing that the fit is too close for comfort and the tires will rub.

Anyone who would like to share the information on what I need for the proper fit? Name of manufacturer and
style of wheel would be appreciated!

Those should fit just fine. Have the same offset now +10, 5.2 and actually moving closer with AEV +25 offset 5.7 backspace.

For reference I have quadratec hardrock and 285/70r17 BFGs

The MOPAR LCAs have a bend to clear the wheels. Other aftermarket LCAs do not have the bend requiring a negative offset in many cases.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! My lower control arms have a bend as you said. I will keep this set of wheels and avoid the hassle of shipping them back to Quadratec. I should have posted my question on this forum first.

I heard the same thing regarding a tight fit. These are exactly the wheels I would like as well for a stock height 2021 JT diesel.
I’m eager to hear how this works out for you. Thanks.

I called Paul at EPIC Outdoors in Vancouver B.C. to find out what wheel he was using on his Gladiator builds. He said " Fuel Off Road 17"X9"with a +1mm offset. So I sent the Quadratec wheels back, $439 return shipping. I ordered a set of Fuel Off Road wheels 17" X 9", +1 mm offset, Kicker 5 Bronze center, Black rim.

What is the backspacing on the fuel 17x9 +1mm offset?

Post some pictures when you get them mounted. Curious how much they extend beyond the fenders.

I just the window sticker for my 2021 Gladiator Rubicon, hopefully I will be trying out the wheel fitment soon. My garage is starting to look like a parts store.

Just posting this up for reference

I have a 2020 Sport S non max tow

AEV wheels +25 offset 5.72 backspacing with 35x11.5R17 toyo tires

Mopar 2" lift.

Check out threads regarding AEV wheels for the JT. Many are running 35x12.5 and 37x12.5 without issue. The requirement for a negative offset is by aftermarket lift companies running different LCAs. The MOPAR and AEV lift will not require a negative offset. There may be other brands too.

Rubbing elsewhere is typically caused by someone putting on too much tire with not enough lift.

Paul says they extend past the fender slightly less than an inch. We'll see?
No spacers and no rubbing were my concerns. I can live with an inch.
