As the question is posed, when are sales the slowest and does this correlate with better incentives and new color options? In other words, is there a best time to buy? I would think Spring would see price hikes because the weather is turning nice and everyone wants that open air experience. Same might go for early fall. After 2022 models are released and I build my desired configuration, do I wait and see what 2022 holds or do I order it?

A jeep is a vehicle where I think sales are high all year. In the summer, it's an open air convertible. In the winter, it's a snow slaying machine. And even when the 2022s start rolling in there's still going to be a scarcity of vehicles, so it'll be a slow roll. Just do it. Do it now.

All normal sales patterns are out the window. With certain parts of vehicles being hard to find and production is down, it will be some time before things return to what is thought of as normal.

With inflation, back log of materials, and everyone's sudden need to buy a "NEW" anything don't look for much in the way of incentives and deals.

Order what you want at the best price you can and be happy with it.

Next few years is going to be rough.

In a normal year usually incentives slowly ratchet up over the year. But of course availability goes down and factory orders get cut off at some point.

Best bet is to just find one of the below invoice dealers here on the forum and run with them on a order.

Any normal walk on the lot retail buying is going to be a sh!it show for the next 18-24 months if even then the market recovers to pre covid market conditions.

Incentives are a pretty rolling thing. When one expires, another is usually right on its heels. Price hikes don't come from the factory either, so if you do see them it's from the dealer on their lot stock and usually is due to their limited availability. End of year is almost always to clear lot stock, not to spur new factory orders.

If you're going to order one from the factory then it's pretty cut and dry with the base price. The rest (% off invoice) is negotiation with your dealership when you place the order with them. The incentive game is a gamble because you don't have a predetermined delivery date, so you might see something better when it gets delivered or you might not (in which case you get what was available at the time of order).

In the end, if you're ordering from the factory then you might be overthinking this "seasonality" thing. Just order it.

Jeep almost never offers incentives of any kind on the base Sports, even pre-chip shortage.

It would be nice to get $500 here or there but oh well
