I never do package "deals" because I'm too picky and can usually put together a lower price myself.

In the instance of my current Jeep I bought a set of Rock Trix from an amazon vendor (better credit card cash back amazon vs direct) and BFG tires from Costco.

If you're getting TPMS sensors... good luck. The dealer wouldn't order them for me because the 21.5-'22's are backordered forever, and the site mopar parts just cancelled my order after a few weeks.

So I got the tpms sensors from costco, paid 2x as much... and they don't work. Costco's handheld system doesn't have the newest Gladiators in them so they cannot train their trainable 433 mhz sensors until that's updated. I call them weekly to see if it's updated.

I went through Rim Zone.com and got a pretty great deal for both of my Jeeps.

I do research on the tires I want first, then take my findings to local dealers, like Deery Brothers Chevrolet, for example. They have matched online prices and beat all local tire shop prices on tires for my classic cars. For my Jeep tires, I took my numbers to the local Jeep dealer and asked them what they could do for me and handed them the paper I had printed - they matched the price and then a bit less as I recall.

I prefer local sources and go name-brand parts when and where possible. I could have cut costs on the TPMS but buying MOPAR sensors at a discount beat any hassle with programming, extra trips, wondering - will it work, will it not work............ pay and get it done right with the right parts and skip the hassle.

I buy mine from the local tire shop. Do lots of business with him and his prices are almost exactly what tire rack sells them for, and as a bonus I can call him up if I have any problems and Ned something done quickly. Tire rack will not do that for me. I have had my salesman come to me in the service truck on Sundays to fix tires for me. After sale service is pretty important to me. As a side note the tireshop also sells me tractor, semi, and implement tires to me.

Yeah the 10% military is def nice.
Was nice. They decreased the discount to 5% now. They have always been my go to but not so much anymore as other tire and wheel retailers have become more competitive.

And if we all stop doing business with locals, they disappear..... and then you have no local support, it's all chains and corporate stores.
It's worth a few extra dollars to keep local stores alive, people employed and the local economy going.
