Got my last Jeep wave oil change among some other warranty work including a new instrument panel ordered and an open recall. I am going to start doing my own oil changes and read on here there is a place to log them in on the Jeep.com system. I can't find the post. Does anyone know where to log services and oil changes in order to keep drivetrain warranty in effect.

I registered here and log my service in under the " My Garage Tab" in the upper right.

Check the Carfax site. You may be able to create an account and log maintenance for your vehicle. I get periodic emails from them on activity that involves my Jeep.
I was able to create a carfax account and can add maintenance info and receipts. I like it because it also shows the stuff already added on carfax. The Mopar site doesn't show the dealer maintenance for me.

I wonder if the dealer would accept the maintenance logs from Carfax. Aside from resale, what is the advantage of using Carfax over the Mopar logs?

I would think resale would be it. That being said, my mopar account is attached to my car's email address ([email protected]) so I could just as easily hand over the entire email account with mopar account when selling.

I used to keep track of oil changes in the 'Notes' section of the owners manual plus I kept every receipt for oil and filter in the bag with the owners manual. When I sold my '93 GC (private sale) I had mentioned in the listing, "all maintenance receipts included" and prospective buyers (and the eventual buyer) were impressed with that. I would imagine that if you have all receipts with dates that nearly (a day or two, you know, buy on a Thursday and the following Saturday do the deed) match up with your written date, mileage, service performed written in the owners manual somewhere that will count. Receipts are proof you actually bought the materials and used them. I mean, who's going to spend like over $80 for full synthetic and a good filter and not actually use them?

Has anybody confirm if Mopar maintenance logging shows up on Carfax? Good to know for resale.
