If it's rear axle hop, you'll see it from outside of the vehicle. And if it's rear axle hop, I wouldn't be surprised if the dealership just chalks it up to conditions and leaves you hanging. A fix would be aftermarket shocks and/or potentially rear control arms with different bushings.

If it were a slipping transfer case chain, trust me, you'd hear it. And if anything in the driveshafts was causing that kind of violent binding then I would think you'd be hearing a lot more going on as well. And probably be looking at a pile of parts.

::edit, again:: if it gets to you having to sort the problem out yourself, I'd be curious if you could swap in a super cheap set of take-off shocks from a newer year gladiator and see a difference.

hey could see in advance of it coming as its it could be hard for them to replicate
My experience, if they can't replicate it and there are no codes, they won't lift a finger. Even with video.

I would set it so they can see the rpms while also seeing the stats on the steering and angles while seeing the info from off-road pages in one video.
Also just one that is outside that shows the wheels and axles and one in general over the hood view

Um, no deep snow and you're engaging 4H while turning? That's not loss of traction... that's too much traction. It's not slippery enough for 4x4 where you're using it. It's owner error and it damages the transfer case and potentially other driveline components.
no turning no flooring it for me and it will do this.. BTW 2wd didnt get anywhere in my scenario... unplowed forest road, def the situation to expect 4hi to handle

Definitely not at all normal. Mine loves snow. Now ice ice on the other hand ;)

Does your traction control light flash, whenever that happens? What does it do if you turn traction control off? Almost seems like it's being overly aggressive.

my update.. tried off road in unplowed wet snow.
Results:
slow progress stopped with shuddering in 4hi trac control off
2wd not effective.
shifted to 4lo crawl still shuddered
engaged duck... still shuddered.
NOT HIGH SPEED
NOT OVER THROTTLE

They added that stupid helper shock to the top of the pumpkin to help control it.
I have a 2021 and I don't have a rear shock on top of the pumpkin? Mine is a Rubicon. The only time I have experienced wheel hop was on an incline super slick conditions and basically stuck or ground to a halt spinning and backed off and then hit it again with success. Is this helper shock something that can be added?

Edit: It can't be added to my 2021 Rubicon. It's only for certain models
