I like a little “flair” so had the idea of getting those as well. Curious if I could completely cover the letter faces in wide painters tape then use an xacto to trim. Once masked id spray them with Mojave orange. The idea would be all black single layer with just a touch of orange only on the outside edges. Knowing me I’ll someone mess it up and be into the paint thinner.

…only thing stopping me is buying another set of letters and the sunk cost involved. That and of course removing the limitless will be a miserable affair for certain.
I think that would look sharp. Especially when looking from the side.

Which tailgate badge is best. The one from Hauk (Jeep Gladiator JT Tailgate Badging Kit) or the one from Limitless Parts( 2020-2021 Jeep Gladiator Tailgate Replacement Larger Style Lettering)? I like the Hauk for the installation template but like the two color design of the Limitless Parts one. Anyone installed the Limitless Parts kit? Is it easy or a PITA?
Sorry, but neither.
Way too big.
Hey you asked.

I like mine the best lol...picked up a stock rubi(2 piece) tail gate set. Separated it and painted the background piece body color, and top black. Did black vinyl in the recess of the gate

I think the aftermarket options are too big and a little tacky but too each their own

The holes will be obvious. If they bother you, you'll need a way to fill them in flush.
Was thinking about that. We all know the proper body shop way but…

Maybe get in behind from the access panel and tape over them with aluminum tape. On the front side, a dab of bondo in each hole. Then tape all around it over your paint exposing only the hole to protect your paint from sanding. Finally, sand as flush as possible. Once tape is off you could even make it cleaner with a super fine (1200+) wet sand which wouldn’t hurt your paint.

if you’re into the look, have a tailgate wrap like you see a lot of here. Then add (or one piece) the jeep decal of your choosing.

This is highly experimental whiz bang magic type stuff…and I’m not a body man. Beats spot welding, grinding, filling, sanding, priming, and painting however.

Went with Limitless Parts for my Mojave. Did it myself took some time for sure. Laser level for the top and then a piece of painters tape along the laser level line to use as the go by and snug line.

Ether was helpful to get the former Jeep and dealer emblem adhesive off after initial heat gun and decal tool prying.

Totally agree. I got the white letters to go on my Sarge Green Mojave---if I ever get the damn thing.

Did you do the install yourself?

Our Gladie is white also and what you did is what I am thinking to do. See you live in Idaho. I live in Featherville if you know where that is.
