Beyond my black, sting gray was my second choice. Looks very nice whether its getting common or not.


But still nothing like a black Jeep done right IMO.

And to add a dissenting position, we have a black Porsche, black Audi, and decided we wanted something with a little more pizzazz, so we ordered something red, firecracker red.

I see them here and there, especially on the highway. Really nice color, my Granite Crystal Mettalic is just a shade darker.

Yup. I love everything gray. Vehicles. shirts, paint (my man cave is painted gray), watches (I have a titanium watch), etc. Sting-Gray is just a perfectly executed shade of gray, in my opinion.

I also see most other manufacturers offer a very similar gray in there color palette as well.

I had a 2018 JL, bought in January of 18, so early on. I remember when the Sting Gray was introduced to the Wrangler. Everyone was out of their minds with love for it. It was popular to say the least, but hard to get initially.

When I went for the JT, I wanted a white one...my wife took one look at the Sting Gray and said she loved it, so Sting it was.

My point is that I think we forum members have gotten used to it and sorta over it to a degree, but the rest of the population hasn't been overly inundated, so it's still very desirable to them. Now that I've had it myself, I love it and my wife was right. It was the correct choice. I don't really care how many people have one, I love MINE. Also important, I think, will be the resale value. I see it probably higher, or more desirable when it's time to sell or trade.

Hell, I've had more people tell me they love the color of my truck way more than they like the truck itself. I think that says alot.

I wanted Hydro but knew my brother inlaw wanted Hydro when he got his. But glad i went with Sting grey instead. It's a color that blends in better with surroundings. If Gobi was available last year, I would've got that.

I wonder if stingrey is the base for our GCM? One seat latch on mine appears to be stingrey.

it is definitely not stingrey on the outside.
