If the current arms stock arms are within spec alignment of caster, why should the arms be longer on the possible premise the owner is going to lift and not know exactly how much?
I'm pretty sure the longer control arms will be within spec as well and that will save people from having to buy new ones. At least with the factory models that come with 33 inch tires anyway.

Caster Spec of a factory Rubicon is 4.45° +/- 1.00°. That +/- 1.00° is not much to go out of tolerance on the premise of putting a longer arm meant for a 2" or more lift. That is some liability on Jeep's part letting something go out like that and not knowing if the end user ever does do a lift and not knowing what exactly that lift will be.

Had this thing leveled today. And it rides and handles better than the stock height. This is huge in my book.

When I drove mine from the dealership the highway drivability was a bit sketchy. I switched lanes and it would just take off all of a sudden during the transition. I'm not sure if it was the tires or what? there was a bit of slop in the steering that I didn't like. I had a 3" lift done with Yeti Steer smart brace they replaced the Mopar stuff with JKS J-Venture and longer Fox Performance II shocks. I put 37"x20" Nitto TG M/T tires and it has a much better ride than stock, no issues changing lanes on the highway, wind from passing trucks doesn't affect it as much anymore. My experience is much like yours in that regard.

We help sellers get multiple offer for their car in as little as one business day.

What a revelation. So glad your jeep rides better now.

FCA covered the discrepancy with their lift with the arms that come with their kit. Anything outside of the lift they created for their vehicles is on you. There’s no liability on their part. Once you go outside the parameters it’s on you. Not defending them, but this should be common sense.

Were you using ACC?

Unfortunately, I didn’t get Automatic Cruise Control on my Jeep. I haven't experienced that issue since I changed out the tires, lift etc. It's solid now with no steering slop and drives straight as an arrow.

Got it. The way your described it, that's the behavior of ACC... when you hit the turn signal, it immediately tries to get back up to cruising speed.

Unfortunately, it does this BEFORE it actually checks to see if there is a car in the lane you're heading into, which sometimes results in unwanted braking right after you get into the lane if you're too close to the car in front of you.

So did you leave all other components as stock? Outside of what was in the kit?
