I purchased a 2023 Gladiator on June 26th, and after driving it for 5 days, the steering wheel alarm and powertrain alarm came on simultaneously on the highway. The steering wheel locked, and I had to park on the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for repairs, but I was unable to drive for four days. After getting the vehicle back and driving it home, the powertrain alarm went off again the next day. This left me unable to drive for another three days. I asked the dealership representative to refund or exchange the vehicle, but they refused, saying it was a minor problem. Now, all alarms have disappeared, but when reversing, the camera screen shakes a lot, and sometimes the guide lines disappear. They say this is also a natural phenomenon. What actions should I take? I live in Canada, and this is my first car. I can't drive long distances because I'm anxious.

That is definitely not normal. Agree with @Gvsukids, take it to another dealership or contact @JeepCares.

Definitely go to another dealer, get a second set of eyes on it and look up the laws for your area about dealer buyback on lemons. Odds are there is a consumer protection law in your favor.

Does the backup camera screen shake like there is physical movement of the camera or just that the video signal is shaky? There is a TSB to update the 8.4" radio software that address numerous issue to include poor signal and camera lines issues.

When you mention the second time the "Powertrain Alarm" was the vehicle actually un-drivable or were you just to nervous to drive it? EVAP small leak codes usually do not make a vehicle un-drivable.

As to what you should do, maybe some other Canadian members can chime in on that. I know from seeing other Canadian members posting, Canada does not seem to have a strong consumer protection laws like the USA and recourse is not the same or limited compared to us down in the USA.

I smell citrus: lemon. You should try to begin the process of getting it replaced by Jeep.

A person should never have to endure this, you should be enjoying your new vehicle.

The video signal shakes. I noticed that the shaking becomes worse when I turn the steering wheel left and right.

When the steering wheel service alarm came on, the wheel locked, and I couldn't drive the vehicle. After the first repairs for the steering wheel alarm and powertrain alarm were completed, the second powertrain alarm came on. Although the vehicle was drivable, the dealership mechanic advised that there could be significant issues with the powertrain alarm and recommended towing the vehicle after stopping.

Invest in a cheap OBDII scanner/reader to keep in the truck. Can pick one up for like $20 or so on Amazon. Not every code thrown and CEL is one that has you in dire straights .

First, the OP is in Canada, so their process to get through this is different than here in the States.
JeepCares on the Board can't help, they are for U.S. customers only.

Second, PuddleJumper gave you the link to the Canadian website to help you, and you acknowledged it.

Do exactly as the Canadian website says, ignore most comments about what to do as they pertain to the U.S. and not Canada.

Power steering issue...........hmmmm.....smells like bad ground......judging with the other issues......just a thought.

A natural phenomenon??? I've never heard of electrical/software faults being a natural phenomenon...
Maybe the solar flares hit worse in the Great White North

Or maybe swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus
