We see it here over and over - Jeep develops death wobble - Dealer replaces $40 Stabilizer - Death wobble is gone.

No, it isn't. You just got a new bandaid.

Tale as old as time. Blown steering stabilizers don't cause death wobble. Death wobble causes steering stabilizers to blow.

Stellantis isn't any dumber than youtubers, they know this. They also know that if the average person leaves a dealership with a truck that's not wobbling they won't ask any questions. Get that wobble hidden for the first 36k miles and now it's not their problem anymore.

There was a recall on steering stabilizers for my wife's 18 JLU. We took it for an oil change and had the recall work done at the same time. Roughly 5k miles later I had a local company install some wheels and tires for me. They had the Fox stabilizer for a good deal, so I asked if they could just install it at the same time. A few minutes later the tech came out and asked if I was having any problems turning or getting any clunking noises. I said no, no problems at all. He walked me over to the lift where he showed me the steering stabilizer that the dealership installed was put on backwards, it was facing the wrong direction. Never would have noticed till it went out.
