My Uconnect has not worked shortly after I picked up my Gladiator in April of 2020 and for the last three months my Wifi has not worked although it states it is enabled.
First the Uconnect has not worked basically since I picked my Jeep up. I have brought it back a couple of times and was told it was reset and updated. Of course it still didn't work. I spent countless times on the phone with Uconnect trouble shooting it because the dealership can't swap out the head unit without authorization. During some of these trouble shooting events I stood out in the rain while the agent had me go through attempting to start the Jeep, lock it and sound the alarm and after each attempt failed the agent asked me if I were sure it wasn't working. I was assured by each agent that I had spoke to that when this issue is resolved I will still get my free year. During this wonderful customer service experience I recently moved from NY to Nashville, TN and alerted Uconnect of this and they informed me they would give me a thirty day extension to get a dealership to have the system once again looked at, I guess my "free" year of Uconnect had expired. I am tired of bringing my Jeep in for service and being without a vehicle for a day or two to be told "with this new update everything should be resolved" and of course it has not been. Also I was also told by the dealership they have loaners but when I get there the two loaners they have are already out.
Second the Wifi crapped out a few months ago and after finding out who to contact for this problem after being sent around from Uconnect, AT&T and the dealership a couple of times I finally spoke to an AT&T agent who said they would help me reset the Wifi but after a while of trying I was told to go to the dealership and they blamed it on Uconnect. I really don't think at this point I would want Uconnect but I did pay for the Wifi for an additional three or four years upfront. Also the Jeep and all of its standard and optional equipment should be in working order if you use them or not.
Has anyone else experienced these issues and if so how did you resolve it? I will again bring it to a dealership here but I need to find a better one than the one I recently went to for an oil pan drain nut. I waited at the parts window for twenty-five minutes even though the service writers were paging him. Oh I needed the nut because of a free Wave oil change where the tech almost rounded the entire nut.
