Just purchased this week. Picture doesn’t show actual rake, but was wondering if 1” spacer will level it out.
Also, the dealer says I have to use a mopar mechanic, will it void warranties if I have a local shop perform the work?
Nice looking rig. A popular option for leveling the JT is a Teraflex 1.5" leveling spacer kit. Comes with 1/2" and 1" spacers so you have three options for lift up to 1.5". I think most go with the 1.5" to get it level.
As far as your warranty it may be effected. They wouldn't warranty the spacer and probably not anything they determined was caused by the spacers or the installation of them. Dealers seem to vary wildly in what they will and won't cover.
With my 80th Anniversary I put in a 3 inch spring lift on the front and 1.5 inch spacer in the back. Now the back is at 3/4 inch taller than the front. Where mine is now is just where I want the Glad to sit. That is until I put on larger tires.
I just put the 1.5 spacer on my 21' willys. Looks so much better now imo, I used both that came with the terraflex kit, the full 1.5" and added the mopar 2 inch lift longer front lower control arms. Again, looks great, rides same as stock, I have 3/4" rear pucks to add to give slight rake back for towing our boat and jetaki.
I did the 1.5" Teraflex leveling kit on my '21 Willys before eventually doing a Clayton Overland Plus 2.5" kit. 1.5" will get all of the rake out, which I liked. If you want a little rake left, or carry weight in the bed, so the 1.0" spacer only. Mine rode the same as stock, but did have some bump steer and slightly worse steering wander on the highway.
