Just some food for thought, you're not stuck with just LED or Halogen. I've retrofitted so many of these headlights now I'm making the little Jeep halogen bulb covers into coat hangers. The longest part of the process is waiting for epoxy and paint to dry. When you're done you'll have the snow melting heat and higher light output power of HIDs harnessed through state of the art projectors. I really need to do a write up but when you've had good projectors with 55w HIDs you'll never want to use LED again. I've been doing these for 10 years now, my 1st set in my K5 is still working on the same set of bulbs. I've done a dozen JL sets now, it really is not hard. I have all the pictures, I just need the time to do a good post on it. This is a set I did this weekend for a friend with a Punk'n JL. Not totally finished, you won't see the scratches in the lid in the finished headlight. The parts for a basic setup is somewhere around $400 these days. This one was a little more because of the lens etching. Like I said, food for thought.

Well now that it is too late to do anything about it I will just have to start piecing it all together if I can find any take-offs. Should have just done that in the first place. Live & Learn.
As others have stated, you can just add them later. No biggie. I've done it both ways.

My truck has the active safety group so backs already LED.

Takeoff DRLs: 200
Takeoff fogs: 100
New headlights: 750

Now that the 21 and up have pre-wired halo harnesses even on halogen equipped, it's cheap and easy enough to do after the fact. No rAgrets.

People are constantly ripping off their fenders and bumpers so brand new takeoffs of fogs and drls are always available.

The two options I'd absolutely get factory are front trailcam and aux switches. I'm collecting parts to add those 2 and it's difficult and expensive.
The LED’s, Trailcam and switches are expensive but very good options and very expensive to add later.

Luckily I did opt for the trail cam and switches.

I have started to look for take offs. They sell pretty fast. I did look at the head and taillights and they seem to be back-ordered. At least through allmoparparts. I didn't opt for any of the safety stuff on mine.

Yep. I am starting to wonder if I will regret not getting the LED'S on my recently ordered JTRD. I had given consideration to getting the steel front bumper but also had to get the KED package as well. My thoughts at the time was that I was planning on getting the Oracle heated Oculus headlights along with the Oracle taillights, reverse lights and fog lights.

However since I have placed my order I have started reading up a little more on the forum about their products and the issues they have had. I had mainly not wanted the factory package due to no heated headlight. So now I am thinking I may regret my decision here.
For sure you will.

It's really not a big deal and easy to do. Don't let the sky is falling people in this thread worry you.
Oh I'm not. Lol. I guess when I started this thread my perspective was would I regret not getting them since I had planned on the Oracle lineup. I think this has pretty much answered itself with the fact of the issues Oracle is having. Yes I regret not opting for them and the steel bumper however I will just find them elsewhere and install them. People are selling takeoffs so I will just have to keep my eyes open.

I have the halogens and I don't notice them being all that bad. I don't use my fog lights either - do other people just leave them on all the time or is it context dependent (actual fog?)

I do use the high beams but rarely am I out on a rural stretch at night.

Hard to miss what you never had IMO.

I leave them on all the time, but these fog lights aren't really that great in actual fog. They help with seeing deer coming out of the woods, and illuminate dark side streets when turning. That's about all they are good for.

My JT is Jeep no.8. With the LED'S i can actually see at night. Remember all the lights are LED and they're guaranteed by Stellantis. Jeep should be ashamed for charging $1,100 for a safety item but it is what it is. Buy the LED light group.

I was just out last night and thought of this thread and asked the wife,
"Do you think the lights are bad?"
And she said "No, I can see fine"
I replied "me too",

I'm actually not going to worry about swapping them out.

As far as the fog lights, I leave them on all the time.
