This might have been covered before but I couldn't find it searching.

What board can you use for the Bed slot and what is the length to cut it if needed to be cut

I think I used a 2x6, You will have to measure the length. Make it a little short to make it easy to get in and out, or it will get wedged. Putting a handle somewhere on it to pull it out is helpful. Also you will have to cut the corners off on the bottom to make it fit flat, as the slots are curved there.

I’m pretty sure it’s two 2x4s (what I use), which are actually 7” total, for a flat load. This is in conjunction with a 2x4 (actually 1.5” wide) across the wheel wells, and tailgate at 1/2 position.

I use a trailer for plywood and big stuff, so the handles/tie downs on top don't bother me at all.

I used a 2Ă—8 and screwed a 1Ă—4 on top for a lil lip piece. I forget what the length is though.

I used a treated 2x8 cut at just a hair under 57-3/8 in. I cut about 3/4" off the two bottom corners at 45° angles. I have it cut to this length so I can remove and replace it without opening the tailgate and from either side by myself. It also won't vibrate itself out of place while driving. My advice would be to cut it at 57-1/2 in. and shave off a tiny bit at a time until it's to your liking. I hope this helps.

A handy tape measure is your best friend.
Doesn't really answer my question thanks for the help
Ok, I'll be the guy that says it:
If using a tape measure to determine what size you need escaped you, then this project is too hard for you.
