From my use on the trail, having one in the front grille to see better when breaking over after a steep ascent is mostly the important one to me. I don't really need to see backward when going forward - and if I'm going backward my Jeep has a great backup camera. I personally find underbody cameras to be a gimmick. If I am that worried about what is under me, I've already bought skids plates and don't care anymore.

I have your tripro mirror currently. The front and rear cameras are fantastic, and the front works great, but is partially blocked in the jeeps that have the adaptive cruise and active braking box. It still works fine for liability in accidents or similar, to prove what actually happened, but it’s not a perfectly clear view. I have an idea I’ve been thinking about, and think I’ve got it figured out somewhat. I’ll work on it this week and will report back with results.

II have the G930 which only has two cameras, the built in one and a rear camera. I'm thinking of installing a three-way ON-ON-ON switch to toggle between a rear truck camera, trailer camera, and a front camera placed somewhere in front to help see over a crest or with a front axle view to see approaches to obstacles.

Ok. I did it. And I really like it.

I mounted a fourth camera. My thought process is that I don’t have much need for the trail camera when I’m on the road. It’s under my bumper and mostly just records asphalt. So I took the 1080p Infrared camera that usually comes included with the cabin version of the Tripro, and mounted it facing forward. I mounted it to the underside of the box that holds the advanced safety equipment. The very mix that partially blocks the forward-facing camera that’s part of the mirror. It’s the same 1/8” connection as the trail camera, and the same resolution. So the mirror doesn’t care. My new system is to unplug the trail camera and plug in the second forward camera when on the road, when dash cam liability is the greatest concern. I highly recommend this solution. It’s simple and an already supported configuration, for those of us with advanced safety blocking some of the view. The other advantage is see is the angle of the forward camera isn’t inadvertently changed if someone physically adjusts the angle of the whole mirror. It stays facing where you pointed it, right at the Camry that’s about to lie about blowing through that red light.

My rear camera is in a great position to see what’s behind me. I still need to play with the front bumper camera more to see how I can get a better field of view. It’s ok but I think it could be better. Sitting on top of my bumper right now and think I may move it to the grille to get a better angle. Either that or go lower and get a more straight forward shot but I’m thinking upward will work better. Basically I want to see from the bumper to where I can’t see over the nose. That’s about 8-10’ directly front of the vehicle, if I remember right. That’s directly to the ground. I can see stuff but not terrain within that space.

The front view in cab camera is just there for insurance reasons. I think I’ve used it maybe twice to show my daughter a car that’s passed by on the replay.

My trail cam is here, at the transition between the bumper and the skid, facing forward. It’s worked well for me to see obstacles I can’t see. I wanted a better insurance forward view.
