Your Jeep's name

I'm curious why anybody who doesn't like, or doesn't see any point in, naming their Jeep (or anything else) would even bother to look at this thread, much less reply to it. The only purpose for doing that would have to be to try to make those who do like to name their Jeeps feel somehow..."less"...
Really not much different than the Tacoma owners who come into the forum to disparage Jeeps.
I named mine "Hatari", and like it so much I bought a hood decal so everybody can see that it has a name. It's also kinda helpful for radio comms with people who don't know, or can't remember, your name....
Having spent quite a few years in Africa doing anti-terrorism work, "Hatari" resonates meaningfully for me. The fact that it was the title of an odd John Wayne movie is just icing on the cake!
I thought about using my old call sign, "Strider", but figured most people would just think I was a Lord of the Rings fan (which is actually true...imagine my delight when I was assigned that call sign back in the day!)
Also back in the day I carried an exceedingly sharp knife strapped to my calf, and its name was Osiris. It's said that you have to name a blade so that it won't turn on you in battle... Plus, it's just cool!

Mine is named Tiff. My wife named it. Back in college, our favorite bartender was named tiffany. She was a redhead and prior to working there, she was a stripper. She liked to take her top off while serving, which fits the truck well, because it too likes to be topless. And it's fire cracker red. For people that have seen the Hot Crazy Matrix video, she has a section on it..

That is quite the storied song. Has roots way back as an Irish folk song. Very fitting name for a Jeep for sure. Also one of my favorite songs.
