I usually go with girl names. But, this is a Jeep. And it’s a Gladiator. So I’ve been calling it ROMAN. Haven’t christened it with a sticker yet though.

Really.

Maybe if I'd been in the air force or military I would understand this but I'm not going pretend I get what that means.

That's something special and specific to some great men that I am not fortunate have been a part of.

My trucks never been to war either. Just the local mall.

So you DO understand why "anyone" might name a vehicle! ?

I just meant to illustrate that there are quite a lot of reasons why someone will name "things" that are important to them. War being just one (but very prominent) example. I mean, hell, ancient kings named their swords.. Don't forget that the name "Jeep" is, itself, a name that someone gave their vehicle and it caught on. While the history is somewhat ambiguous- and even controversial (just ask this forum!) - the fact remains that "Jeep" was a name someone, somewhere, named one of these things back in WW2 and became ubiquitous.

No problem at all if it's not your thing, but for others it's a memory, an honorific, a fun advertisement of your personal interests, a totem or just a thing you started calling it one day for no good reason at all.

Anyone read that Stephen King book CHRISTINE? ?

Don't know if it's going to be an official name of the Hydro JT Mojave I just ordered to replace my Hydro JKU, but I like the idea of Hail Hydro. I might get something like a 4"x4" sticker for the rear window.

While not an "official name" that would require hood stickers, I often refer to my '20 JTR as "Mrs. Jones" as in (to my wife) "Honey, I'm going to go spend some time with Mrs. Jones". If you are old enough, you'll probably get the reference; she is like a mistress and is always a dirty girl"...

Where did you get those orange pieces of trim? Or is that paint/plasti dip?
Cheap Amazon plastic covers. Color is a little too bright but I’m going to resolve it by putting rambler stripes on. One bright orange and one stripe to match the Mojave orange. ?
