Popularity breeds greed. There it is in black, blue and white but funny that the Gladiator is #5 and the new Bronco is #8, I think they got them backwords because any of the listings for the new Bronco are $10-20K over MSRP if you can find one actually for sale on a lot. Find it funny though, I worked with my sales rep on the JTM and ordered for $2k less than MSRP.
It's especially egregious when you have dealers, like we do in Albuquerque, that won't deal. Maybe the rise in interest rates will mitigate that somewhat. In the interim their attitude is: "Let them eat cake" or go somewhere else, which is what many of us do.iSeeCars has analyzed 1.2 million vehicle listings from February to March and listed which vehicles currently have the highest dealer price markups.
The Gladiator is #5 at 22.5% above MSRP.
On average, new cars are listed for 9.9% above MSRP.
The ABQ dealers have been doing that over-MSRP "market value adjustment" BS long before the pandemic/supply chain issue days. Buy from Lithia in Santa Fe. Their discounts are listed right on their website, they have a new building that's so clean you could eat off the floor, and the salespeople and finance managers are great to work with. I've traded toward a new vehicle with them every year since 2017.It's especially egregious when you have dealers, like we do in Albuquerque, that won't deal. This looks more like a list of the highest over-MSRP found versus an average of over-MSRP prices.iSeeCars has analyzed 1.2 million vehicle listings from February to March and listed which vehicles currently have the highest dealer price markups.

I agree. Without specific info of places it seems like this is not accurate. I hear everyone talking about below MSRP. Or in my case and region right at MSRP. even the jerk dealers I called were not over. Its gotta be a small group that is just reaming people and driving the stats out of whack. Probably the big cities. Seattle, la, Chicago. Or something. This looks more like a list of the highest over-MSRP found versus an average of over-MSRP prices.
If it's an average, it has to be what @FshnRdnJpnAB suggested, that it includes the new ones with aftermarket lift/wheels/tires installed.I agree. Came here to say just this. Same reason why the wrangler is so high. Bronco is lower currently because if less partsJeep has 3 spots in the top five! One possible factor is that almost every Jeep dealership has several lifted and accessorized Jeeps that sell for well above MSRP. This is likely skewing the numbers somewhat.
