Tired of my groceries and gear sliding around in the bed of my Gladiator, I tried a few solutions—bungee cords (not ideal) and a wood plank (functional but plain). Then, inspiration struck!

I saw an idea on this forum, put my own spin on it, and called in some artistic reinforcements—my talented wife. Using one of my “honey do” cards, I asked her to paint a custom mural on the plank. With some added trim to frame the artwork, the result? A practical and stylish solution that makes me smile every time I open the tailgate.

It’s almost a shame no one will see it! 😂

Nicely done!
We had some spare junk wood laying around 2x6 that we decided to sand/stain/paint on a whim. We bought a new vinyl cutter last year and decided to experiment with It. Happy with how it turned out. The other side of the plank has become my ‘sticker’ board. Lots of aftermarket stickers & such.

I need a better way to prevent it from bouncing around & scuffin up the board and the bedliner. The pieces of pool noodle are temperary…..until I realize a better way.☺

Nice! Is it also the right height for loading plywood onto with the half tailgate position?

That’s such a creative solution! Love how you took something practical and turned it into a stylish, personal project with your wife’s help. It’s awesome that you were able to put your own spin on an idea and make it uniquely yours. And hey, even if no one else sees it, you get to enjoy it every time you open that tailgate! Sometimes the best things are the ones that bring a smile to your face, even if they're a little hidden. 😄
