Great on soft surfaces, your weight supported by a huge increase in surface area, airing down x10.
Look at tanks or caterpillars, "float" over mud a vehicle with tires would sink past the frame in.
Pretty expensive option though, but tracks probably last longer than tires and you can't pop 'em, might be a pain if slip a tread off the assembly though and road legal?

Very high maintenance! These are great if well maintained and lubed. Get them full of mud or ice and fail to clean them out, they come apart. If you are in the boonies at the time, you are hosed!

When I worked in Northern Alberta we saw a mining company rocking f150/250/350s with tracks. It makes sense in winter and spring/fall mud.
