Hello guys :)

We've just launched the Air Cruiser. A self-assembling, technologically advanced, lightweight rooftop tent with record-breaking cabin space that fits the Gladiator like a glove. Check it out...

Jeep Gladiator Air Cruiser | A Revolutionary Rooftop Tent for the Gladiator Gladiator in Studio

The Air Cruiser has so much to offer, but the thing that'll make you sit up and say wow is the huge cabin size and the sky lights. Up on top of your vehicle it feels like the best kind of treehouse, with more head room than any other rooftop tent on the market, you're totally uncramped and your camping space is less a compromise-for-being-outside than a luxury you aren't at all eager to exit. Head height is psychologically powerful like that. Who knew.

Anyway, there are loads more details on our site. Our next stock drops in the US on July 7th and we're already running low.

Also: I've made you guys a code to offer $600 off the retail price - use code GLADIATOR600 at checkout.

Anyway, if you'd like to chat and / or have any questions about the Air Cruiser then fire away here or in the DMs.

Looking forward to hearing from you :)

This is a pretty cool design, it looks like you use air beams for the structure of the tent? That’s a neat idea.

Any consideration for a 1/4” NPT port on the tent as an auxiliary option to add air? A lot of Gladiator owners already have on-board air, myself included, at a decently high CFM from an ARB or similar compressor. Any way to make that work?

How does it do in wind?
Website says gale force 7. So, 33 knot winds. Not bad, but wouldn’t stand a chance out in the desert wind.

Thanks for the lovely feedback guys. The Air Cruiser is great in winds - because it's an Air Beam structure the canopy doesnt' move about noisly in the wind, so that's a real bonus, but for desert winds you might need somethign a little more extreme.

On the 1/4” NPT port, the compressor doesnt' currently have that option, but you can use various power sources, so long as they're powered to 12 volts, and the tent can be deployed with a manual pump too, so there are lots of good option there.

Have you guys explored RTTs before and / or are you out there using them already? As a previous sceptic of the RTT world - we made only ground tents up to last year - I'm a true evangelist now - it's a such a good and different experience!

Ah, I think I misunderstood your question about the 1/4” NPT port - this is new terminology to me! If you're referring to an entry point for air conditioning then the Air Cruiser has two really convenient entry points around the base. For repair and replacement sake, the entire top section tent can be zipped and unzipped from the hardcase structure of the tent, and this zipped section allows easy and convenient access for any and all air con systems :)

I think you had it right the first time. you mention a manual pump: what does that port look like? Seems like that's where he'd want to inflate using the onboard system.

Also, that presents an opportunity as well. I don't know the cost of the built in compressor, but you may be able to offer this tent for a lower price without the pump. Like mentioned above, some people already have onboard air and don't need one included with the tent...

I see someone getting distracted by a "Topless" Jeep rolling into camp and then POP...

Nope not A/C, just a standard air port to be able to plug an on-board air compressor in to the tent for quick pop-op times. The other user made a good point that you’d have to design some sort of pressure cutoff valve or relief valve above whatever the air beam operating pressure is. Maybe not the appetite for an option like that, as the ARBs only cuts out at about 150PSI, so probably not something you are looking to add from a cost and complexity standpoint. Just wondering if that was something considered

I remember seeing this on Kickstarter last year but I was in a 2 door JK at the time and couldn't swing the size. I'm building out my Gladatior right now and looking for a tent. Do you have any in depth verified user reviews or videos? I'd love to see some actual hands on experience with it. The only videos I see are Wildland marketing or factory videos.

Also - what is Cinch's relation to Wildland? Looks like maybe a collab but in what capacity? All of the marketing and stuff I can find has their name all over it with Chinese characters and Chinese videos. The logo on your pictures show Wildland as well, so all of this makes this seem more like a dropship item. I don't see anything that says Cinch, or any western involvement. I don't mind Chinese products, but even the videos of this on your Cinch Youtube channel and website are Chinese-centric and show the tent has stickers and labels in Chinese.

The Cinch instagram hasn't been updated in over 2 years so there is no mention of this tent. Coupled with everything I mentioned above, it makes it seem like this is just a rebrand dropship like we've been seeing with people re-selling camper shells they buy from Aliexpress or Alibaba.

Hi Animusen

Thanks for getting back to me and lovely to hear you're considering the Air Cruiser. Forgive me for length and transparency:

Firstly, we're terrible at instragram :) I accept and awknowledge that, and despite trying to be better at it., we've never really gelled with instagram in way that works. We're a bit better on facebook., and a good place to go for real life Air Cruiser users is this group...

https://www.facebook.com/groups/318966497331424?_ps=1

which was created by us but which has all kinds of users in it and - as you'll see - posts aren't curated / modded by ourselves.

We canvassed the user reviews you see on the site from typeform, and the best transparency I can offer is to share the process with you...

https://form.typeform.com/to/TOO0iWFJ

It's more familiarity / fondness for typeform that has kept us using that platform but we're about to integrate something called Judge.me on the site, which is a slightly nicer version of trustpilot.

On our relationship with Wildland, they invented the Air Cruiser, for sure, but we've had direct influence on the design (for example, it's polycotton canvas, thanks to our interveniton, and much nicer for it). We own the stock we sell, we ship it from our warehouse and any issues or comments or help you need with your Air Cruiser, throughout its lifetime will come from us :)

Wildland are an incredible outfit with a fantastic R&D team, inspired RTT design and second to none production quality. We're super excited to collaborate with them on this and future things to launch the most cutting edge outdoor gear we can.

I think drop shipping gives the idea of selecting some off-brand chinese overmanufactured fluff and selling it amazon or wish, and the Air Cruiser certainly isn't that. It's a feat of manufacturing and we're proud to have worked on the design and to bring it to market. Check out the reviews in the facebook group and ask a few questions there, the community is quite responsive and hopefully says something nice & illuminating :)

I think that covers everything and sorry for going on so long. Do please ask any more questions you've got - they're definitely goodns.
