I’ve found out today that on that page we’re expecting the instant mpg under that circle, we can see two small square. One in green, one in gray indicating there are two screen we can scroll through laterally. Like the trip meter. But if I press left and right, it stays on the same screen, the green square doesn’t move. So yeah, this submenu is glitched really bad.

My instant mpg and range have been coming and going for no apparent reason since I got my truck in January. It makes no sense. I didn't even bother with talking to the dealer about it.

Mine came back today after I installed the taxer JL mini. I’m suspecting this is linked to some manipulations I’ve made and have suspicions on what could make it come back. Need to validate this before so next time it disappear I’ll try and keep you posted. This is not a fix, just a way to make it come back till next time. Again, need to be sure I wasn’t just lucky so stay tuned.

Update!
Installed a Tazer mini today, and before I made any changes, I paired and rebooted the system, then two sleep cycles and the instant mpg came back. So I’m guessing a glitch in the factory software.

I will say I hauled our pop up this weekend fully loaded camper and bed and we got 16mpg from San Diego to Solvang and back. I was impressed. I have never gotten better tan 19mpg but ican get that using cruise control and 80 mph.

Just to poke the bear here, that's pretty much the least useful gauge in the Jeep. I wouldn't know if mine's disappeared or not.

I absolutely agree on being useless, but if it’s supposed to be there it bothers me if it’s not. lol ?

It helps. Plus the overall is pretty accurate to what i calculate every tank. Plus i monitor it for the instant facts and it helps me increase my MPG. Otherwise i.'d WOT all the time getting 12mpg. HAHAHA

So my cluster bugged again today, got myself motivated to do a video tutorial, with the tazer and full reboot sequence etc, but… it didn’t work and the cluster is still bugged.
Seems like it was a lucky one or the reset isn’t tight to the reboot but the marry/unmarry sequence. Something else to try if anyone wants to.

And like a volt meter, it can be a troubleshooting aid.
Some have reported a noted drop in MPG when they had cam issues.
A good troubleshooter or someone aware of their truck, can use that to see if "something has changed".
If mine has been doing the low 20s (20-21) and suddenly I have trouble making 19s in the same type of driving or weather - something is up.

I swear half of the gripes or problems people have may be shown them weeks in advance..........

*update* it was just a glitch! I got back in next time and it was there! Odd! It now has the "current" displayed.

I can confirm that it’s a glitch. I had this happen to me this past week one day, and once I turned the truck off and back on it went back to normal. Glad I’m not crazy.
